The House of Golf - Hawthorn

I recently went in and saw the guys for a custom driver fitting at Hawthorn. Almost immediately after seeing my swing numbers the guys suggested that an aftermarket shaft would have a huge benefit for my game. The numbers compared to my current shaft (fitted elsewhere) were astonishing. Dispersion was so much tighter which was exactly what I was looking for!
Initially I saw Archie, and after chatting through my goals, he went through the process to pinpoint the best shaft for my swing profile. This was so extensive I needed a second fitting (booked with Riley) to select the best head! Both fitters were meticulous in their approach and had a wealth of technical knowledge they were able to articulate in Layman’s terms to enable the best club selection for my needs. Extremely impressed with the level of service offered and will be back here for all my future needs. Thanks again guys.

Jason was the best club fitter that I have ever been too. Not only was he extremely helpful in picking the right clubs to me, he was diligent and exceptionally honest and I felt that I was a part of the process. He took the time to explain all the numbers, what they meant and what it meant to me. I could not recommend a more better club fitter than Jason. I will absolutely be coming back to him for my check-ups and has me as a regular customer.

We phone the house of golf looking for a very specific putter. They had one in store. The range of putters is HUGE ! our lovely assistant, Shay was very knowledgeable and came up with an immediate solution for a 35" putter. My experience in dealing with Jason at House of Golf Hawthorn was exceptional. He invested plenty of time over 3 sessions and was genuinely interested in coming up with solutions to get the right clubs to suit me. I told him this and he said he was so intent on this because he wanted to learn outcomes so he could better assist others. Because of his efforts, my shots are so much longer and straighter and this has given me confidence to improve my practice techniques and drive my handicap down. I can’t recommend Jason and the team more highly.

Saw Jason for a custom fit after ongoing frustration with my longer irons. He immediately identified that the cause of my issue of missing short right with inconsistent ball speeds was largely due to very flat club lie angles. After straightening up the lie angle the results were striking, picked up significant ball speed (3mph) in the session along with much better face angle at impact. Jason could have easily tried to upsell me far more than I needed: after expecting to come away with 3-4 new clubs, I now have adjusted 6-7 irons working exactly how I want them and I’ve bought a new 4 and 5 iron. I’m also booked in for a second fit for my driver. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks Jason - great job fitting the player and the swing, and not just selling the product!

Got fitted this morning 06/23 for a custom Titleist U505 utility iron. Great experience. Jason was extremely knowledgeable going above and beyond also fixing my 3 iron to reflect the correct loft. Look forward to working with Jason in the future to ensure I have the right clubs for me in my bag!

Can’t recommend these guys enough. Have had fittings with other pro’s before and this was by far the best and most comprehensive fitting I ever had from Archie. I was on a tight schedule to get the clubs before I went on an overseas trip and Riley did everything in his power to get them to me in time. Won’t use anyone else for any golf related purchases from now on. Thanks again guys

Great store, welcoming atmosphere and excellent range of clubs and accessories. You know you're in the right place the moment you walk in and see the centerpiece putting green in the middle of the store.
I wanted to get into golf more frequently and socially so I needed a new set of clubs. I had researched for close to 6 months and been tossing up between a number of retailers and fitters.
I booked a fitting with Archie who was knowledgeable, friendly and listened to why and how I wanted to improve my game.
He gave me plenty to consider and his suggestions and advice made sense and didn't make me feel pressured or self-conscious.
I learnt a lot about my game, my swing, and was happy to buy the new set then and there. I'll prefer using House of Golf for my future purchases and fittings.

Visited HOG Hawthorn a handful of times to purchase a set of Irons, could not speak highly enough of the team always being me by friendly staff in Archie, Riley and Jason. Always welcoming and not pushing products keeping the customers interest at front of mind.

Fantastic new store with friendly retail personnel.
Bought wrong size ASICS shoe at HOG Ringwood and returned them but they didn’t have larger size, was able to go to new Hawthorn store and exchange them there with no problems.
Manufacturer/brand merchandise displays is quite nice.

Great new shop. Excellent staff, impressive large shop floor. Centre stage putting green makes for a grand entrance down the stairs. House of golf tend to stock the more premium of most golf items, but at least here I could almost justify it.

Bought my custom made mizuno pro 225 irons.
Very knowledgeable staff, and great facility.
Also very accommodating with prices and lead times
