Where to begin with Uncle Peter’s books.
This quaint little Queenslander in Clunes is a must-visit for any book lover in the area. Upon walk-in, you’re hit with the sweet aroma of old books lining walls from floor to ceiling. There are all sorts of categories, from classics to history, to gardening to kids books. An absolutely lovely experience.

Excellent little second hand book store that is well stocked, organised, and uncluttered. It pays to check the opening hours and plan your visit to Clune around them to ensure you don't miss out.

We nearly didn't stop but turned around to check out this unassuming looking house. Wonderful nooks and rooms full of books. Love the antique section. Everything very neat and tidy and beautifully labelled. Nice little gift section at the front of the shop.
Very knowledgeable person at the desk, hopefully was Uncle Peter but I didn't ask. Nice fellow with yellow glasses frames.

This shop is the Uncle Pete's that used to be in Lismore. And yes, it is owned by a guy called Pete although I have yet to meet him. Situated on busy Bangalow Road the shop has plenty of off street parking which is a plus. The outside tables and the first room have generally new book related materials and gift ware. But behind that is a Alladin's Cave of room after room of books. The books are arranged in great order and are well presented. Stock is too huge to list here. Many great antiquarian books on local history and places. Staff are knowledgable, friendly and welcoming. Every time I go through Clunes I usually stop in and always buy something. Prices - I have never had cause to complain about pricing. I would say it is on the lower side of average prices which is great for any book buyer. And yes, I have found a few bargains here.

Great little second hand bookstore. It's a little out of the way, but we'll worth the detour if you're a book person (they hold about 20,000 books on site, with the more valuable books held off-site). Don't forget to sign their guest book!

I always walk in looking for one book and walk out with a box. I could get lost in there for hours. A great place to stop and browse in any kind of weather.

Super cute secondhand bookstore with helpful staff, an extensive range of genres and a great selection of Australian and international authors. Definitely the North Coast's best bookstore.

Time stands still when you enter Uncle Peter's

A gem of a shop loaded with books of all types and ages. The shop is an old Queenslander in the main street of Clunes. All you need is plenty of browsing time.

Awesome find. It's deceptive from the outside. What appears to be a small bookstore turns into a large meandering discovery.
