Wonderful bookshop in the main street of Woodburn.. browse the shelves (look for the 'Darkness' section) and treat yourself to a coffee or other brew of choice. Lots of effort has gone into creating an interesting and enjoyable space. Plenty of parking available outside the front door.

Hemlocks is the place to be. Hemlocks opened its doors in Feb and since that time has grown to become the
backbone to our little community here in Woodburn. The owners Samuel and Steph are lovely people who are always so welcoming towards everyone. The fact that they make delicious coffee is way worth coming into the cafe for. This place has created a meeting safe space for everyone to come together and chat. If you dont feel like chating you can purchase a book be it a classic through to a modern contemporary novel and just sit comfortably in the big lounges and read.

Great place to stop for a coffee and pie. We had the apple and custard pie which was jam packed full of apple. Very delicious

What’s better than a snug coffee/book shop opposite the river with a warm & welcoming barista and a cosy relaxed feel that would make anyone feel right at home? This is the epitome of what a coffee shop should be, absolutely worth stopping here for coffee and a treat if passing through!

Visited from Canada for a month, and Hemlocks was our "go to" spot for morning coffee! The atmosphere of the shop is very inviting and unique. The coffee is delicious, and we even tried out the chess board a few times. The owners are very friendly. 100% recommend.
