The transformation from Restaurant to Supermarket is actually quite amazing, after spending years knowing the site as the famous Taipan restaurant it has had several reincarnations but this one is my favourite.

No.1 Asian Supermarket who also has a branch near Westfield Doncaster as expanded out closer to the Doncaster East suburbs to finally give KFL some competition.

The range although a little more expensive for certain products is very extensive and I do not mind paying a little more for the convenience of having a take-away shop, butcher, fresh live seafood, butcher, Asian grocery all in one tbh.

The most interesting for me is the live seafood area where they will catch and kill so you can take home and cook. For anyone that cooks you know seafood is best cooked as soon as possible, this one spot makes me very happy.

Plenty of parking on site, with two entry points from either George St or Blackburn Rd.

First time shopping here today and I will definitely be coming back! What I loved about the store was the wide lanes and friendly service. It was busy but it didn't feel cramped like other Asian groceries. The place was clean and there were large sections of produce from fresh seafood, meats, freezer, fruit and vegetables. It had everything in one place. Why would you go anywhere else?!
