CUTE LITTLE CAFE IN WEST MELBOURNE
Moon Mart is a delightful cafe tucked away in Stawell St West Melbourne. Korean inspired menu offering takeaway and dine in for breakfast through to lunch. Indoor and al fresco dining in a quirky environment. Dog friendly, relaxed and a nice vibe.
People with mobility issues will be fine in the front section of the cafe with even floors and no steps to negotiate. Staff are super friendly. Good coffee! Very close to North Melbourne station and the Gadsden Apartment complex.

a really cute little cafe on a quieter street for your weekend needs ~

the great sandwiches they have on offer is really the kind of brunch i want to be eating week after week, the prawn salad one was perfectly balanced and light.

the fried chicken one was the opposite but i guess that's what you come for 😂

Delicious katsu sandwich, matcha was a little small but yum. Would be good to offer large size.

Went on a Saturday and had a small line. Once inside the atmosphere is nice and relaxing.
Service is efficient and friendly

Very nice Japanese and Korean fusion cafe. The cafe itself is really small, the seating are mostly on brench, very similar to Japan. Pork Katsu is very good, crunchy outside and moist inside. Gamjatang... Pork bone soup is very tasty. Very authentic Korean soup. Black forest hot chocolate is also very innovative. Staff are friendly. Be prepared long queue during busy hours and weekend. Plenty of parking nearby and walking distance from train station.

Just came for drinks, but my husband's coffee was very good (at time of writing they use happy happy soy boy milk) and my strawberry lemonade was great. Workers were friendly and place is very cute. Food smelled amazing.

Came here and ordered the tonkatsu rice set and the pork katsu sando. The pork was a pretty thick cut, very moist and tender; and the panko was perfectly coated and crispy; very delicious. They also provide a whole bottle of bulldog sauce to use which was a plus. The sando has some tonkatsu sauce and mustard seeds whereas the tonkatsu rice set gives you some options to change up the flavours with wasabi, lemon, and a yuzu and apple sauce which was sweet, salty and spicy. The coleslaw on the side was also tasty with a rich creamy mayo.

I love everything about Moon Mart. The service is super friendly, space is adorable and of course the food is awesome. It’s a bit pricy by cafe standards but the quality of the dishes justifies the cost. I’ve had the egg salad sando before which is great but a bit rich so this time I went with the hoedeopbap. It was fresh and light yet filling and flavourful - especially with the addition of housemade garlic cucumber and miso and a soy cured egg yolk.

Side note, I had to wait over 30 mins for a table on a week day so arrive early if you can.

Very cosy place for delish brunch / lunch in West Melbourne. Super close to train station. Despite kitchen being under the pump, we were served delicious meals with great service. A little bit of a wait for food and they’re definitely popular (ran out of food before closing times - get in here early!). Great drink options too (plus some good treats on offer in the shop).

Prepare to queue for an hour over the weekend there are so many people with very limited seats. They don’t limit dine in time so if no one leaves prepare to wait for up to an hour. But the food is worth the wait.
I love the mushroom set, full of flavours and depth in the sauce that I could have another bowl of rice. Service is friendly too they gave the toddler an extra pack of seaweed.
Will 100% return on a less busy day.

Found this little cosy Korean cafe through Instagram. It's located in West Melbourne. I loved that the food was good and the ambience was so great. Felt like a little retro vibe. Definitely go for the set menu!

Super cute fit-out and really lovely cozy ambience!!! Staff were super sweet and accommodating as well and the food was A+++ 🧡🧡
• Iced Latte with Condensed Cream — just as cute and comfy as it looks <3
• Char Siu Bacon and Egg Roll — thick-cut bacon, perfect runny egg — unique and super-tasty take on a cafe classic!
• Tonkatsu Sando — suuper fluffy bread, cutlet was cooked to perfection (rlly generous portion size too!!) The salad that came with it was a highlight of its own ✨
• Hashie— crispy and fluffy :DD

We took some sweets home too and they were top-notch!!! Can't wait to come again 💞💖

I really love how friendly the staffs at Moon Mart are.
The food and drinks are awesome too. We had two ice long blacks, plum and honey soda and the peach tea (not pictured) and they were awesome.

My only downside of this is that I don't think there's an organised system yet. We had to line up to put our name down for a table, wait for a table and then line up again to order. Lined up 3 times.

The wait was a little over 60 minutes before we were able to eat.

I have high hopes for this little place because they're doing everything they can.

I highly recommend this place if you can wait. Super cute shop. I would come back.

The best tonkatsu in Melboure. The service impressed me a lot. The vibe is also japanses style. The location is a not too far from the train station. Really convenient to go there.

I visited on Sunday morning for breakfast,
had been worried that it might be crowded.
But it wasn’t that busy so I was able to enjoy the vibe and the meal in the cute and cozy place.
It reminded me of Korea somewhat.
a lovely place, I will visit again for lunch soon!

📝: Exploring the flavors of Korea and Japan at Moon Mart 🍜🍱☕ This unassuming convenience store and cafe surprised me with their amazing drinks, delicious baked goods, and mouth-watering brunch and lunch dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you're in West Melbourne!

❤: The 🍕 Omonomiyaki Hash Brown with Bonito was a standout, with its crispy potato exterior and flavorful topping. The ❤Mother's Day Special—Miyeokguk with Mussel, Kimchi, Rice, and Jangjorim—was a delightful combination of textures and flavors that left us feeling warm and satisfied. The broth was comforting, and the mussel was a nice addition. All in all, the food at Moon Mart was a real treat and left us wanting more!

Checking out the new Korean cafe in West Melbourne, next to North Melbourne station (I know, it’s confusing!)

@moon_mart_ is a cute little cafe that serves a small selection of breakfast items, lunch sandwiches/ toasties, weekend spesh and delicious Korean/ Japanese inspired baked goods. They also sell some interesting condiments which I have yet to try!

Kiddo and I tried their breakfast rolls- tamago + tomato + cheese and char siu bacon+ fried egg + cheese on a buttery brioche roll.

I love the char siu bacon more than the tamago and tomato (egg and tomato) one, the tamago was too sweet for my liking. The char siu bacon was well seasoned and beautifully cooked.

Also ordered some sweets to takeaway: the mochi brownie’s texture was a bit weird for us, the Yuzu donut was amazing and I really loved the kinako & walnut shortbread as well!
