Had done my pre-trip homework re patchwork places en route. Sandy was lovely and helpful. Good range of fabrics (always need a few more pieces). Lucked onto the casual sewing group that were so welcoming. Such a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Lots of charity work done behind the scenes, so please support them.

We basically stayed only a night at Balcaldine but I saw a sign saying the Silver Thimble.
Dropped the husband and dog back to the caravan so I could explore the shop in peace. The owner is delightful and helpful I had a wonderful time choosing fabrics for my patchwork bears. If you like craft make this a stop to gather more supplies as we all know we never have enough. Fabrics were beautiful
