The Avenue Food Store

The Avenue Food Store is one of the best cafes in this area. The coffee, freshly juiced OJ and food are great (I love the trout salad) and the outdoor seating area on a nice day is the best. It's a great place for breakfast or lunch or just a coffee of OJ. The staff is super friendly and the service pretty good too. The cafe is also bike and dog friendly.

Came here after a bad experience with another cafe up the street, complete opposite experience. Staff are lovely, food is great and a very relaxed atmosphere. Recommend sitting outside on a nice day!

Who thought a toasted sandwich could be so delicious? The menu is quite extensive and daily specials too. Well worth stopping by. Enjoy.

Spacious and friendly. A good variety of food, both hot and cold. Staff are attentive and the cafe is tidy. Plenty of outdoor seating and seating also available indoor. My pick was the slow cooked pulled beef lasagne. As good as it sounds.

Easy to book, great coffee, good sized portions.
Staff are friendly and it’s all reasonably priced, a great local cafe in rotation!

Live locally and drive past all the time no idea why I haven’t stopped in ! Today I did and will be returning regularly. Lovely service , yummy coffee and generously sized portions .

Good, generous service. Very attentive and welcoming staff. Nice real chai, not powder and croissants that must be baked on site, so fresh and tasty. Will be back to try more of the menu.

Had a soy cuppacino, which was good.
And the fish and chips were excellent - fresh, bite size pieces with stringy fries. Fries were a little salty but otherwise yum. They also provide a large portion of homemade zesty tartar sauce!

Lovely to come and support a friendly local business. These guys are open, warm and welcoming both in personality and interior. Had a carrot cake and prana chai latte that is generous in serving and hits all the right spots on a wintry day. Thanks guys :)

Always come for the coffee - best around, and you get local owned & friendly service. Food is always good and menu has good coverage. We love the chilli scambled eggs, and many other options.
