Woolworths Melbourne Square (Southbank)

Yesterday, I had the chance to visit Woolies for some shopping, and I must say, the experience was made exceptionally pleasant thanks to one of their workers, Dareen. She went out of her way to assist me, showing great patience and knowledge about the store's products and layout. Her helpfulness not only saved me time but also made my shopping experience stress-free. It's employees like Dareen who add a personal touch to shopping at Woolies, making it more than just a place to buy groceries. It made Woolies a friendly and welcoming place to shop.

- FREE 90 min parking with min $15 spend still exist, they've now worked out how to get it to you digitally as well automatically, instantly after your shop.
-Their scan & go still generally works well. Currently still doesn't accept gift cards.
-Their fast food section is worth a visit - I always get sushi, takoyaki and spring rolls whenever I visit. Sometimes they don't have it already boxed up, but they're more than happy to make it fresh for you if the equipment is still on, so you can make a request, do your shopping, then go pick it up before heading out!

Good range of products, a lot more variety than South Melbourne store. Top floor has your dry goods and fridge/frozen food, perishables downstairs. Wheelchair accessible. Friendly staff. Free 90 min parking (one entrance via Hoff Bvd off Kavanagh st) with min $15 spend - scan the barcode on your receipt at car park. Entry/exit points with checkouts on both floors. The store also has the Scan & Go app capability which is great for keeping track of your costs as you shop, can only checkout downstairs though. The way this gets checked is : after a number of transactions (I think random) on your next check out, the system will ask for a staff to scan 5 items in your cart to make sure there are no un-scanned items, there's only one scan & go check-out though which isn't manned, so either you or someone in front of you may hold up the line, so may be worth checking if there's a line before pre-paying on the app.

The best woolies to shop at. Can get almost everything you need here. Sometime kind of hard to find things as it’s huge but not an issue at all because they have lovely staff. Shout out to GAGAN for being very nice and helpful. HE DEFINITELY DESERVES A PAY RISE!

Excellent Woolworths, over 2 levels which can be a bit frustrating, but it means it is large enough to have everything. It's great to have a proper supermarket rather than just the Metro options. I walked from where I was staying, but there was plenty of parking that I saw.

2 floors means they can stock just about anything. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.

What a nice Woolies! Almost remind me of Japan style grocery shops. Love the open space on the ground floor. It's a bit unusual in Melbourne for the double floors supermarkets.

It’s a really convenient location if you live in Southbank. Freeway is right next to it. Underground parking. And the Store Manager Raguwaran is really helpful. Excellent customer service

Nice and convenient location and more importantly full size supermarket so has a good variety of everyone's favourite brands. The only thing missing is a wider variety of National Pies from Tassie as they are the best, and the store only sells 3 varieties.

Great lil supermarket in the heart of Southbank. Was basically across the street from where I stayed so was really handy.

Amazing supermarket! But someone needs to kindly ask some employees to please use deodorant…

The thing I love the most about Melbourne Square Woolworths is definitely the way the mice freak out the customers.
The price gouging is not so good, but if your struggling to get by, watching mice run out from under shelves chase and scare the local middle class can really help the soul.

A fantastic Woolworths! Never have I been to such a huge Woolies. Two stories of all the regular shopping supplies, but also a plethora of imported food, a great selection of Asian produce and other overseas imports. It’s located in a convenient spot and is one of the very first Woolworths that has is in the city, but isn’t just a Woolworths Metro - greatly convenient!

Great supermarket. Bottom floor has a good range of ready to go meals like katsu bowls

Big 2 stories woolworths located within the residential apartment area. Lots of stocks are available and items are on discounted, clearance. However, they don't have some items which are on the catalog.
Self checkout area is spacious, easy to access.

This is my local Woolworths. It always seems to be fully stocked and clean. The Asian food selection is large which is great. I always use Scan & Go here it’s quick and easy. Only down side is the aisles are a little narrow but most people are not using trolleys.

Nice and clean place to shop for the locals, or out of towners. Easy access to parking and the city.

Clean tidy and very upmarket feel. Most importantly though, the hot chickens are amazing. Ive never tasted such an amazing hot chicken before. They are beyond outstanding 🤤

Overall a pretty good woolworths. Great selection found throughout the store. In house bakery is pretty decent too. Fruit and vedge with fresh and yummy. The only downside has been that acquiring a good steak can be hard as they sell out very quickly.

Definitely an good experience overall.
