The best flavoured gourmet sausage around! Highly recommend the Texan ranger and the maple bacon pork when available. Aaron and team are worth the trip to gunning, just stock up and stick them in the freezer! We do 😄.

I passed by on the way back to Sydney and bought some scotch fillet steak and their award winning sausages.. They did not disappoint. Highly recommend visiting this butcher for some fresh and very tasty meat for the bbq.

My favourite place thus far in town, highly recommend to buy the marinated wings, and the fresh cooked chooks. The staff are great, and flexible to help with all questions. The variety is endless with full roast options, chops, sausages etc. For how easy it is to grab and take home to cook, they don't charge enough.

The meat is so good here. The hamburger rissoles are fabulous and their steak melts in your mouth, I even enjoy their sausages (I'm not a fan of sausages at all). It is worth the drive from Canberra to purchase meat from here, next time though I should put in an order so that I will have more of a choice.

Gunning Butcher Shop provides a wonderful service right in the heart of Gunning. Smoked small goods from the Gunning Smokehouse (part of the butchery) are nothing short of excellent. Their pastrami is the best I have ever had. The local lamb is a delicacy. Outstanding sausages and willing to produce or source whatever is possible. The Guinness beef sausages are my personal favourite.
Update 8 Feb 2018: The Gunning Smokehouse is now doing Lamb Ham and Turkey Bacon. My only complaint is that now I can't decide whether to buy the pastrami, the lamb ham, or the turkey bacon!

Friendly service, fair prices and a good selection of high quality fresh meat and chicken. Really good smoked chicken breast and the Portugese chicken is a family favourite. Also, impeccable traditional beef sausages 😍

Best lamb chops in the southern hemisphere, probably the world. My great-uncle was a local woolgrower, and used to drive into Gunning to buy his lamb chops at the Gunning Butcher Shop. No greater endorsement.

I bought a beautiful ham for a function I had yesterday....while it wasn't the main event...everyone raved about the ham!!!! It was the absolute best..so anyone looking for the best leg ham out there get yourself to Gunning.... thanks guys, I'll be back for more....😊
