Mount Pleasant Bakery

Just had the opportunity to try this bakery, phenomenal.

The pie was massive, deep, fluffy, crispy, thick and flavourful.

Sausage roll was great too, crispy and flaky.

$6.50 for this pie is crazy, can’t go wrong with that!

The pies are sooooo good. Some workmates recommended the pies as the best in the Adelaide Hills and I agree. Real meat, perfect pastry and delicious gravy. Gizmo agrees too.

One of the best pies I have had in a very long time! Great selection of pastries and sweet treats, the florentine’s are absolutely huge but taste great as well, certainly worth stopping in at!

Just had the best Beef and pepper pie. Really deep, great flavour and a base that held up while eating from the bag. Lovely flakey lid. Great chocolate donut that was just the right size. Friendly staff. The bakery also has some small goods and small grocery section.

Full of flavour, thick filling & lovely pastry.
Also got bread for $1 a loaf

We came back again to make sure these really were the best pasties in SA! After three months of traveling SA we can guarantee that the pasties from here really are the best in all of SA!!

Best hot crispy chips and yummy sausage roll. Great customer service. Clean and tidy shop. Lots of food and drinks and groceries and Christmas baking to choose from. Even a wonderful range of gluten free 😊😊

We were so impressed with the food from this busy country cafe. Pies are top quality, chocolate doughnuts “yummy’ and of course generous slices of vanilla slice. The friendly staff served our large group (20+) efficiently as we had rung ahead the previous day. Definitely recommend.

Stopped through a few times now. Always a good selection of food and everything purchased has been fresh and tasty. Well worth a visit.

There are many tall stories told in the pie world. Rumours abound and run like a wild dogs alongside the household mutts of truth. This pie shop and that pie shop, we are breathlessly told, are not to be missed. Some such tales are warranted but far more often are nothing more than the fibs of vested parties, or, more generously, the naive rattlings of the young, uninitiated through no fault of their own to the grand depths of the pie universe. Pleasingly then i can confirm that online gushings of this pie shop’s wizardry fall firmly into the cup of veritas. Enjoy friends, advance stoutly, and accept no substitution.

Pepper steak pie A+

Probably one of the best pies and donuts I have ever had! Hubby thought the same and my daughter loved it. Great coffee too! Came here on the last day around the area and wished we had come sooner as we would have been here every day!
We had a bushman’s pie, steak and gravy pie and chocolate donut. All delish!

The best pies and Cornish pasty I have had.
Both pie and pasty bigger than other bakeries, pastry , light and flakey.
Filling for both excellent and plenty of it. Great flavour
If you want to taste good food, take a drive to this bakery.

Delightfully tasty, quality food. Excellent customer service, made to feel welcome, lovely atmosphere, well priced. Either stop by and pick up something yummy to eat along your way or eat in, which is very comfortable.

Possibly the best pie I've ever had. Chunky meat, perfect mushroom flavour, excellent gravy...yummm🤤 Vegetarian pasty was amazing. Chilli cheese kransky also hit the spot. Just perfection 👌
