Nimmitabel Bakery

Our car broke down in Nimmitabel on our way to Victoria. And we needed to stay overnight for the car to get fixed. The motel checkout time is at 10AM, and the car will be fixed until late afternoon. Fortunately, Nimmitabel was so generous enough to let us stay for longer hours. We thank you for letting us stay for longer hours as we were waiting for our car to get fixed. Your coffees are 5 stars as well.

Excellent Quality Pies, Sausage Rolls, Pastries and cakes. Delightful staff created a Wonderful Latte.

I am Coeliac and I rang from Cooma to ask what they had gluten free. I chose a potato pie which they kept for me while I travelled there. I must say it was just delicious and I had no reaction so yes if passing through and in need of gluten free go for it. The service was excellent. Thank you

Great spot for freshly baked pastries and other delicious treats. Staff friendly and helpful. Eat inside or out, including in the garden with the elephant.

This place is a gem. The cafe is clean, fully appointed, chock a block full of pastries and savouries for the visitor and local - and boosting a couple of special extras. Next door is a park to sit and relax in the shadow of an amazing elephant statue and indoors are high quality artwork from the high countries. Not to be missed.

What a gem of a place. A classic old-school country bake house. Food is excellent, with the steak pies being just amazing. The chunks of steak are tasty and in a lovely rich gravy. The other items on the menu looked delicious, with the rock cakes just scrummy. All served by a friendly and lovely staff who are very knowledgeable about the area.

It's worth the stop. You won't be sorry.

Winning some first prizes at 2017's Canberra show for their pies, as well as consistently winning awards in past years, you know these pies are going to be well worth your stop. Conveniently located not too far away from the start of the descent to Brown Mountain if you're travelling down to the Sapphire Coast, it's a great stop for a breather, a stretch, a coffee and a feed. They sell family sized meat and fruit pies, so you can even have dinner sorted or grab a fruit pie for eating brunches, or afternoon teas, or desserts while you stay at the Sapphire Coast. They also sell an assortment of other things which are great souvenirs, my favourite are the novelty jams, small portions, but 5 for $10. Flavours include Summer Harvest, Five Berry and Pineapple among others.

You guessed it.... another amazing regional bakery. I have stopped here every single time I have gone through Nimmitabel. So I've been here three times. Haha. There will be a fourth!!

Beautiful quaint shop. We drove through town and stopped for a bite to eat. Served by lovely girls always with a smile. Lots of variety.

Stopped on the way to Bombala. Enjoyed pepper steak and chicken pie followed by custard tart. Staff were so lovely and pies were delicious not to hot either. Yumm.

Fantastic bakery on the main Street of Nimmitabel. Has an outstanding range of pastries, cakes and pies. Coffee is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Facilities clean and tidy.

What a pleasant surprise to find such great pies in this township! Definitely the best we’ve had so far on our road trip. Do yourself a favour and make an effort to check them out!

Was greeted by a friendly and happy staff, admired the welcoming interior of the bakery and had a lovely morning pepper-steak pie. The pie was perfect; crispy, delicious pastry, chunky, lean steak pieces (but not too chunky) complimented by the amazing gravy and pepper combination. Worth the stop!
