Our wedding reception was so easy and professional, no stress involved at all which is just what you want. Great value for money, the staff are all amazing and Isabel was a dream to deal with in the lead up - answering any questions easily and clearly, nothing was too much trouble. Even on the day she was incredible dealing with the vendors and sorting everything out. The room was beautifully presented and the food was amazing! Plenty of it and absolutely delicious, our guests are still telling us how good the food was. Everything had been thought of and went super smoothly on the night. Thank you to the team at Babalou, we had the best night.

I had my 21st party here and it was AMAZING! the food was incredible, the staff were all so lovely, the venue was spacious and so stunning you could see the ocean views. It was also well priced and they made it work for my budget :)

Cannot recommend Babalou enough! We recently had our wedding here, and from the initial planning stage all the way through collecting our props the following day, it was smooth sailing and nothing short of amazing. Molly was so prompt and helpful, and went above and beyond to help make our day as we wanted it. The staff were all so attentive and friendly. Thank you Babalou staff!!

The venue is stunning, nothing was too much trouble, no question was too silly and I emailed a lot of questions over the last 11 months. The food was amazing, our guests could not stop raving about it. Great venue overlooking Kingscliff Beach. Attended a wedding reception with this as the venue serving canapes. All of which were simply delicious. There were filafels, feta and caramelised onion toasty bits, chorizo and halloumi skewers, southern fried chicken bites, pappadum cups with Indian chicken, duck spring rolls and cheese croquettes to name just a few. There was a doughnut wall and a cupcake table for the sweet tooths and a cheese platter at the end after a plate of beef cheek. Upon arrival, we were given a cone of all sorts of little morsels of deliciousness with raisins and cashews in the bottom.

We recently had our wedding at Babalou and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! Isobel and her team were incredible at co-ordinating the whole day and was amazing throughout the whole planning process. The venue looked absolutely stunning and the food and service were amazing! If you are thinking of getting married at kingscliffe / tweed do not overlook this venue 🤍

I Performed @Babalou for a Christmas function on the weekend and the staff made me feel as welcome as the guests themselves. There was a good vibe, the air conditioning was perfect and the food was imaginative and tasty. Well done!

We got married at Babalou on 6th May 2023 and it was the most stress free wedding we could have imagined. From Jodi to Kahlia to Isabel, all of the communication in the lead up was prompt, clear and friendly. There was no surprise costs through the process and everything we asked, the Babalou team would helpfully accommodate. We had the ceremony coordinated by the Babalou team also, across the road at Rowan Robinson Park and it was just perfect - our guests all commented on the convenience and ease of the day! We went with the 2 course shared meals and had ALOT of feedback about how delicious the food was - we went with the calamari, char grilled zucchini, 12hr braised lamb shoulder and baked salmon, and there was so much food! We probably didn't need the 9pm fries after all that food, could've been better if these were available later say 11pm. A wedding at Babalou was just the perfect setting, with a great team coordinating which made for a beautiful day for us!

Absolutely loved capturing Tina & Stewart's wedding at this gorgeous venue! The entire team at Balalou were great to work with and put together an amazing day for Tina & Stewart. If you are planning a beach wedding, don't look past this beautiful venue.

The moment my husband and I visited Babalou, we knew it was going to be the perfect venue for us. Right on the beach, amazing views and such an open space, we got the best vibe straight away. Leading up to our wedding, Kahlia our coordinator was honestly one of the best people I have ever spoken with, words can not describe how much of a gem such is. She was so helpful, responsive to all communication and amazing regarding advice on things to make our day so special. On the day she ensured it all ran so smoothly and the rest of the Babalou team were so great, so fast with serving our guests and very friendly. Our guests told us how much the loved the venue and how great the food was.

The Babalou Team went above and beyond to make our December wedding day the perfect and most memorable day. From viewing the venue, a postponement, last minute changes with border closures, to leaving the reception as newly weds the team at Babalou were professional, easy to communicate with and flexible. The service on the day was amazing and our guests are still raving about the absolutely delicious food we were served in abundance! The venue space with the premium package was beautiful and helped highlight the spectacular ocean views. We cannot recommend Babalou highly enough as a wedding venue!

Oh my goodness where do I start! We got married on the 19th June 2021 and all I can say is wow! From the set up of the ceremony at Rowan Robinson park through to the reception at Babalou I can honestly say we had the best day ever. The team at Babalou, particularly Jodi, Lizzie and all the staff that worked on the day of our wedding made everything seem so effortless. The food was AMAZING - everyone raved about it and the portions were so generous, I couldn’t fault a thing. The staff made particular attention to Tom and I throughout the night which was very appreciated. The setup and styling of the tables was exactly what I pictured. Everything was perfectly organised and the entire day flowed so great, I seriously did not want the day to end. Honestly, I could go on forever. We had such a special day and everyone was SO lovely! I would highly recommend anyone considering Babalou as their wedding venue to DO IT! You will not regret it!

Maddy and Jodi did an amazing job helping us plan our wedding reception. The venue was beautiful and the staff were exceptional.
We were well taken care of by all staff ensuring we had a (responsible) drink in our hand and were well fed. The food was fantastic and our guests were thrilled at our modified menu. We can't thank Maddy and Jodi enough for creating this fun and joyful night.
On top of all this they also took care of our photographer and musician throughout the night.

We hosted a welcome party at Babalou for our Convention delegates and what an amazing experience we had! From the get-go, it was so easy to work with the team at Babalou. They were so accommodating of our needs and bent over backwards to ensure our event was a great success. The venue has such a nice vibe with beautiful water views. The food was great and there was plenty of it. The service was fantastic and the feed back from our delegates was overwhelmingly positive. So glad we held our event there. A HUGE thank you to the team at Babalou! 😊

Without a doubt, I believe choosing your ceremony and reception venues are the biggest part of setting the tone of your wedding day and the impression you leave with your guests. We recently celebrated our wedding reception with 80 guests at the beautiful beachside Babalou (May 2021), and absolutely loved it. Kingscliff and it’s winter sunsets make for such a magical setting, and Babalou is in the perfect spot to enjoy a beach town wedding with a relaxed, vacation feel. We found Babalou to be the perfect canvas with a stripped-back industrial look which we could truly make our own. Babalou and Kingscliff Beach Hotel’s teams (Jodi and Hayley) were amazing to deal with and very accommodating of our vision and responsive to all our questions. When we had to reschedule due to COVID, they were kind, patient and understanding, and as flexible as they possibly could be, and helped us successfully move our date. When the day finally came, the reception ran smoothly, looked incredible, and our event supervisor Lizzie made everything very easy for us. We recommend Babalou with absolutely no hesitation - we loved it and so did our guests!
