Cafe Chulo

Amazing little gem of a cafe. Kicked off our morning with a delicious Kedgeree & a plate of Avocado toast. Presentation was fantastic, as was taste. Coffee art was impressive, as was the excellent service.

Super delicious food, we had Red lentil curry (from the day’s special menu) and Kedgeree - everything was yumm!
Special mention for the Chai which made us feel nostalgic. Highly recommend for an amazing meal when visiting the High country!

Fantastic home cooked Indian food cafe with both Indian and Australian dishes. The home made cakes and biscuits are to die for.
Hosts are lovely as well.

This spot is always busy and now i know why. Stopped here twice for coffee and cake while visiting bright. The coffee was excellent, as was the cake and toasted fruit bread. The service, like everything else, was excellent. They manage to put their own unique touch to what they serve. Finally, if you want a great Nepalise vegetarian curry then you won't be disappointed though it does have a little bite to it.

They deserve their 5 star rating. Excellent food, reasonably priced, great service!

The use of subtle spices and nuts on the poached eggs and smashed avo and feta is the best I have ever had. Service friendly and presentation of food 11/10

Everything that we've had here was amazing. Didn't get images of our curry but we had the chilli eggs, lamb curry, veg curry, and eggs and soldiers. One of the best chai we've had too! Even the pickled cherry tomatoes in the chilli eggs dish were yum. The staff are lovely too.Wouldd definitely return again. Thank you!

Lovely food, lovely staff and very homely atmosphere ! Loved their spicy Mango pickle.. though they were out of stock for selling..still.managed to.pack some for me as I loved it immensely. Thanks guys..you are very good !

Brilliant iced latte on a hot day. Heard coffee was best in town and certainly lived up to it. Didn't try any food but seemed very popular with locals and those pasisng through. Friendly staff.

A wonderful cafe. We went there on mother's Day around 9.30am, it was busy enough, not hectic. My coffee and mushroom toastie cime out quickly. The coffee was exceptional as was the toastie. Wonderful presentation also. Will definitely return. I highly recommend!!

Great tasting food with some Indian spices. Not a good place if you’re in a hurry, our food took 30mins to arrive.

We had the spiced chicken burger, chulo curry, a latte and a mango lassi, everything was awesome! Barista was happily pouring some of the best latte art I've seen the whole time we were there. Get amongst it!

Sandy makes the best poached eggs. As you can see, every meal is a work of art and all made with love by the beautiful people at Cafe Chulo. And their brewed chai is worth waiting for.

When it comes to Food i’m fussy and when it comes to Breakfast i’m even more Fussier and this place is Amazing in Delivering quality Food.
Loved the Coffees and Freshly made Muffins as well as the Toastie they made Were just awesome and made my Day.

What an absolute gem! We both had the Kedgeree which was delightful, fragrant and aromatic with fresh coriander and lovely salmon. The coffee was Melbourne barista quality. How lucky are the folk at Myrtleford.

We stopped there while driving back from Bright with least expectation.

Their food and smiling service of the staff pleasantly surprised us.Its on our go to list now.when ever we are visiting Bright or Mt Hotham again , have to stop here and enjoy their hospitality .

Ate all and left no crumb 🤤 place, vibe, coffee✨the texture and test of food was next level. Absolutely worth trying. Highly recommended.

Worth a stop in at Cafe Chulo. The coffee is great, the brewed chai is worth the extra few minutes wait and the Bacon toastie is a winner. The place isn't huge seating wise, but has some indoor and outdoor tables.

We had the Smashed Avo and the Chilli Eggs (no Tom, + chorizo) and they were A-MAZING! We are food snobs and are a bit picky, but OMG we were impressed!
