Berlang campground

Great little walk to 'The Big Hole'. The walk took about 1 hour 30 minutes return and was easy to medium in difficulty. A short way into the walk you have to walk across the Shoalhaven River so take a small towel to dry your feet. 'The Big Hole' is pretty spectacular so well worth the walk. Take swimmers and you can swim in the river at the end of the walk to cool off!

Amazing campground. Plenty of spots to set up tent, BBQs, fire pits, drop toilet and just a short 100m or so walk to the stream where you can have a bit of a splash. Short drive in on a dirt road is fine for 2 wheel drives. Heaps of wildlife at night from wallabies, wombats,kookaburra to from and lizards. Will be coming back again.

We absolutely loved this place. Small campground with firepits. The walking trail to the big hole and onwards to the white arch is a must. Took a cold morning dip in the Shoalhaven River before proceeding with the long walk.

Easy camping for beginners or experienced campers. Campground is easily accessible for 2wd vehicles, and has fire pits and good flat ground for pitching tents. The area has picnic tables, with some sheltered ones. The campground has a drop toilet for public use. The campground does have fees, $6 per adult and $3.50 per child aged 5-15. Under 5 is free. The fees are used to fund the upkeep of the park and the campground. Close by the campground, for the adventurous types, you can do several bush walks to the big hole and the marble arch. They are 3 hrs return and 5 hours return respectively. The camp grounds are home to many native animals, during or stay we encountered a large wombat, several possums, and red-necked wallabies. One wallaby even had a joey in her pouch. You will be serenaded morning and night by kookaburras and wattle birds. This is a tranquil and beautiful place to visit.

Not too far off the beaten track, but far enough to keep the crowds at bay. Lovely creek for a dip if the water's flowing, and a half day bush walk to the Big Hole and Marble Arch are worth the effort. Plus - some of the best stargazing around at night!
