The Royal Hotel

Cannot recommend this Hotel strongly enough. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to accommodate my dietary needs. My squid was melt in your mouth tender and the mash was silkier than I've ever been able to achieve. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Tonight we came to the royal hotel with a large group. The services was fantastic the staff were exceptional and went above and beyond. My daughter decided she didn't like the sausages she ordered and they offered to cook her something else I knocked it back as she is a difficult eater. The food was fantastic I am disappointed that I don't live in seymour as I would be a repeat customer. Thank you for your lovely service and meal tonight

Excellent service. Friendly helpful staff. Catered to our requirements around food allergies and vegan diet. Eggplant parmi was great. Huge servings well priced. Premises are very clean. We will be back.

Extremely hard working and accomodating staff. We free camped out back after a difficult and long trip that got delayed.
We purchased food at the pub in thanks for the space. Highly recommend desert menu.

Best old school country pub meal I’ve had in a looooong time. Rissoles and gravy were superb with fantastic fresh, well cooked veg. Kids meals were brilliant, fresh, large with lots of choice. Staff were incredibly friendly too 10/10

Family of 5 Just stopped into Seymour for dinner on our way home from a funeral in Myrtleford and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Never again will we stop at one of the fast food truck stops on the Hume Highway again. Only took an hour to have a relaxed dinner in a nice place and walk away feeling satisfied instead of a busy place lining up to get served and eating in a noisy and unclean place to save not much less time.

Slightly older style rooms and decor, but certainly comfortable, I highly recommend the pub/hotel staff were fantastic, very accommodating at short notice for our emergency powerline works, much appreciated.

We camped out the back November 16. Great area but lunch was delicious. I had vegetable lasagne and Hubby had roast pork. Great service, cold beer and friendly staff

Dimity beautiful barmaid has served us the best meal, great evening and has been a wonderful host. We will return here many times she is the best
Bryar is also a wonderful host but a beautiful girl that says the customers with a smile she has a lovely attitude towards the customers and very friendly.

We wound up at the Royal after a car break down. John and the girls were most helpful, we waited there over a few beers until the ride John organised turned up.
He even offered a secure location for our broken car. 1st rate country care thx

Called in for lunch on way to melbourne,what an amazing place for lunch..friendly staff ,great atmosphere in which to dine..Now the food was the best we have experienced in such a longtime..to be put the best way i know is...simple pub food done amazingly..and those wanting food a bit upmarket that will surely please the palette of the discerning diner...CALL IN SOON PEOPLE....

It wasn't open wile we were there, stayed out back over night. Walking trail and river, locals very friendly.

We had lunch today (November 2022) just two+ weeks after major flooding. Somehow the team have cleaned out the pub, connected some taps and got the kitchen up and running (with a limited menu). What a wonderful experience. The beer garden is shady and comfortable, the historic buildings are atmospheric, and food and drinks are superb. Basic, traditional "country pub" food but done really well. And great service. If you are wondering about going to Seymour so soon after the floods, do. They've worked hard to be up and running, and this is the classic country pub experience.
