Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park

I lived there for 3 months. It's a beautiful caravan park with good facilities, really clean. The cabins are modern and cosy. There is the arboretum just behind, 5 minutes by walk. During the summer you can also go into the river for a swim. There is a lot of nature.

Love staying at this park, the caravan sites are spacious, amenities the cleanest of anywhere we have stayed. Location is just glorious, suits us and our dog greatly.
Caretakers are always going above and beyond to make sure our stay is great. We have had our van for just over a year, and we have been there six times for a minimum of three nights each time. Would be more if we didn't work. It's our go to caravan park because of the care and cleanliness that is put into this place. Love love love Lakeside Caravan Park.

Had a fabulous stay with my family over the school holidays. Close to many interesting locations and attractions. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere, other campers were also friendly and everyone happy to provide info about the local area. Good clean facilities.

This caravan park is a definite must to stay at. Location is fantastic, bush setting is absolutely lovely, amenities are top notch. Owners Simon & Di are extremely hospitable nothing is to much trouble, if they can help you they will . Don’t go passed Lakeside Caravan Park location in Eugenana 10 minutes from Devonport.

Peaceful country campground near Devonport. Owners moderately friendly.
Situated near a lake with no access, which was a mine. No shops or services nearby except a winery that has live music on the weekend. The Park has several new cabins & great facilities. We had an excellent ensuite site. The Don River flows through the Park with a small lake. Next door is a lovely arboretum including a lake full of birds & platypus.

Beautiful location next to the Arboretum with the creek and Platypus. Large sites.
Excellent amenities, 5 star.
All of this just 15 minutes outside Devonport.
The friendly owners and staff welcomed us at 7.30am after arriving in Tasmania on the ferry.

Very lovely campground. Very clean amenities. Hot showers. Modern, nicely furnished and well equipped camp kitchen and lounge area. Grassy, spacious and level sites. There is a small lake at the back of the campground where you can watch a platypus in the morning and afternoon. The manager was super friendly and helpful. I had an accident and cut myself and she was very caring, provided me with first aid and came back later to check on me. Would highly recommend this campground. Wish we could habe stayed longer.

Love the quietness, not crowded with too many caravans. You are really one with nature. The camp kitchen and facilities are clean and well equipped. It's pet friendly.We had a tent.

Came in very late from Ferry owners were more than hospitable great park next to Tasmania Arboretum creeks rivers ponds Platypus and other wildlife about would stay again 5 nights not long enough

Absolutely enjoyed our stay, Di the caretaker was so lovely and helpful and the amenities was immaculate. Will be coming back 😁👍

Fabulous caravan park. A 10 minute beautiful drive from Devonport. Modern and lovely facilities spotlessly clean. Beautiful grounds surrounded by trees, lake on one side. Super friendly and very accommodating hosts... just a lovely place to stay 💜

This place is a great find. Well worth the short drive off the main roads to such a serene location. The managers provide a friendly, well presented park. Great even in winter. Wildlife includes platypus.

This place is INCREDIBLE!
Not only is the location stunning, with lakes, vineyards and wifelife all over.. But the owners, are delightful.
Helping in every way possible. They clearly care a lot about this place and it shows.

Everything is clean, cared for and homely.

Firewood available, powerful showers.
And Wallabies, platypus and the sounds of wild tasmanian devil's throughout the evening.

Decent priced, Great amenities and big kitchen.
WiFi reaches all camp spots.

Would recommend 100 times over. X

What a great place. After four years down in Tasmania I eventually found myself looking for places that I haven't yet stayed, and Lakeside was one. I visited several years ago but decided against it as I was in a rush and it was quite run down and unappealing. That's all changed. New owners have poured a proverbial ton of energy, money and love into this place and it's stunning. An incredible turnaround. Highly recommended.

One night in our van, great location. Could use a few more signs if there is no GPS .
Amenities are very clean, owner metioned, they had been improving the park from when they bought it.
Would recommend the park.

The caravan park is very open but peaceful, the amenities are clean with music to listen to as you shower. A new playground for the kids. The owners are very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. If you haven't been here your missing out. The park has been cleaned up with some work still in progress the owners are doing a fab job, well done Dianne and Craig.

Spent a night here after a looooong journey on the ferry and honestly can say this was one of the best holiday parks in the country. We loved the home-y feel that you just can’t get at the other large chain run parks. Thanks for having us ❤

Beautiful park ! Do yourselves a favour and put on your to go place. Perfect to stay before or after your Spirit of Tasmania trip. Only 15 mins from Devonport SOT terminal.
