Without doubt the best fish and chips we've had in a long, long time! Tried them for the first time a couple of weeks ago and on that occasion they were super busy and we had a half-hour wait but it was worth it. Went back today at a slightly earlier time and only had to wait about 10 minutes. Absolute top quality and the staff are very friendly. These guys deserve to be supported for the service they provide.

Me and my family had this for dinner on the 9/6/23. We had burgers and chips, we agreed that the burgers were the best burgers we had ever had. Awesome food @Samaki Claremont. Really Suggest.

As a pom who has lived here for half of my life I’ve pretty much always found fish and chips disappointing in Oz. Usually frozen mean pieces of battered fish. Not this place! Omg! Spectacular! Fresh fish, huge and fantastic batter. The chips were great too. Lovely cheery staff engaging with customers. Glad to have moved to the area! There’s only one problem…. I’m coeliac so I shouldn’t be eating that batter! How the hell am I going to be able to stay away!!!!!

The batter is to die for and my mum who's 92 who is very hard to please with takeaway shop food is now bragging about you guys.

With out doubt the very best fish and potato cakes I have ever eaten. Succulent, moorish and addictive.

Fish n chips, very generous servings, extra added, we ordered couta, huge piece, the squid rings were real and delicious, no stretchy rubber here, proper chips just like the old days. Seafood basket was definately enough for two. Nice relaxed atmosphere and kudos to the young fellow whom served and cooked. Patient and a good listener, waited patiently while we discussed our order. I will definately be back, eating by the water not only brought back good memories, but, created a special moment with my Aunty.

I used to come here very rarely when i wanted some chips and a Souvlaki, even they they never had lamb and i hated myself for it. I had another day where i was hating myself, so i went back, only to find the place had new owners for the last 7 months. Ordered a Lamb Souvlaki, chips...........OMG, truly lovely food, I've been back a few times now, quality has been consistent and i really hope it stays that way. Definitely give this place a try, especially if you came here a few years ago.

Classic inexpensive takeaway with the food cooked fresh. The chips are the thick kind and really nice. The flake is cooked absolutely perfectly too, very crispy and flavourful. A great lunch before bringing to MONA.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chip, chicken burgers, beautiful owners, beautiful clean premises and the freshest food that you could ask for. Worth the travel, worth the money.
