Great food, nice couple that run it! Cashew beef and stir fried squid were both super! The honey chicken was super sweet, more like a dessert. We will be back!

Great place to get honest Chinese food. a real institution in Carlton. I first went there when l was 18 years old. I am now 63. Back then it was run by Mrs. Fu Lu. It was bought by her cook: John and now he runs it with his family.
Worth a visit.

Great food at super reasonable prices. I was also quite impressed with the friendly and warm service received. The venue could use a little bit of a renovation but they don't sell themselves as a restaurant so much as a take away cafe, so I can't fault them there.

Every menu item has always exceeded expectations!! Worth the travel from outer Eastern suburbs. We only have Fu Lu when ordering Chinese....great Carlton Institution. Our favourite is the sweet n sour chicken, special fried rice
& spring rolls. We've been having Fu Lu's for 35 years & it's remained consistently great!!

This is the best little Chinese spot in Melbourne ! I love it and they are so nice as well.

First time trying this place tonight. Tasty fried rice and lemon chicken. Just good classic Chinese takeaway food. Decent prices and friendly family run business. Definitely recommend

This place has good takeaway Chinese food. The dishes are healthy because they come with plenty of vegetables and you can ask for reduced salt. I recommend the beef black bean or the stir fried rice with prawns, egg and ham. Not badly priced but they only accept cash.

The Fu Lu Special Fried Rice is delicious and packed with a mixture of meats. Probably the best I've every had!!

Their Mongolian Beef and Crispy Skin Chicken were also fabulous.

I highly recommend stopping in for a takeaway or for a meal.

The staff were friendly, my meal was ready surprisingly quickly and the prices were good.

Been going to Fu Lu for over 25 years even when they hands many years ago the quality as remains the same. It is got to be one of the best Chinese Cafe in Melbourne it may not look super fancy But who cares its clean, they cook in front of you, the prices are fare, They are friendly, and the food is always great

I've been a customer for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is always perfect - granted I've only ever ordered the satay beef and the salt & pepper crunchy calamari! Amazing! Recommend highly!

Carlton's best kept secret. Cheap, tasty, wholesome meals. $8 lunch special is tremendous value in 2018. Lovely accommodating owners who've been here for decades.
