The Border Inn Hotel Apsley

I was not expecting this kind of place. It is very nice, the menu is wide and everybody can find something. My honey prawns were perfect and the dessert very good. Everything was right. I will come back for sure.

Currently closed due to a car crashing through the entire hotel back in November 2022.
Don’t be deterred though. If you are looking for free camping, it is still available at the rear.
Be respectful and leave no trace.

We saw the facade and had to go in. Friendly publican and staff, nice assortment of beer. We needed accomodation as well and the publican put us up in clean, simply and cozy rooms, with a nice warm shower. Friendly patrons, great atmosphere. The Border Inn is a must visit for those in the area. I'd recommend coming through here on your way to/from Melbourne/Adelaide.

Great small town pub with a free campsite for vans at the back. Showers are $5, the food is great and the staff were friendly. Loved it!

Lovely night.

Bangers and mash and a chicken parma with a lovely red. Even went back for the apple pie for desert.

No traffic noise in the free camp behind the pub and the 5k track was cut for our walk to the lake.

Great food, a warm and friendly atmosphere and a beautiful story behind the rebirth of this wonderful pub. Friendly and helpful staff make the Border Inn well worth a visit. And for Vegans & Vegetarians.. they will happily cater for us too! Just give them a call ahead of time to let them know of any dietary requirements.

I loved this place food was great the community was super kind and everyone was just having fun and being nice

Staff were really friendly. My husband raved about his steak all the way home, my Moroccan squid was to die for, and the kids meals were great too, and included drink and ice cream. For a family of 6 we only paid $96!! We will definitely back.

Staff are absolutely amazing very friendly very helpful. Free camping they say - (just spend a small amount in the pub would be much appreciated) free pool table and food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend the chicken Parm. Great for couples and families.

I very infrequently post revues but this hotel deserves a positive note. I was taken there whilst staying with friends at N'coorte and had a totally enjoyablle experiance.. I received good honest service, good country food in a clean venue with a relaxing ambience and at reasonable cost. I personaly receommend this somewhat remote hotel. Simon of M/Bridge

Absolutely amazing pasta even made without meat for vegetarian girlfriend.
For myself a juicy burger so tender just fell apart in my mouth and cooked to perfection.
Staff very freindly and hospitable and helpful and helped with a locally grown selection of wines.
Absolutely worth the stop over and also offer free camping onsite to travellers and caravaners

We had a great lunch here on a lazy Sunday. There wasn't a large menu but everything we ordered was delicious. Above average pub food and the service was very friendly. We would recommend eating here.

We used the free camping facilities as well. Toilets and showers are the cleanest I have seen in a free facility.

The generosity of this hotel in providing somewhere free to camp, right alongside their fabulous facility is amazing.

Was definitely surprised when I walked into this pub! From the outside its just a nice old timber pub but inside it has been tastefully refurbished. Great service, i'm just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer!

Best meal in a long time, seriously good, worth traveling a long way for. Also great warm fires, great service and atmosphere, and lovely friendly people.. Free camping at the back too..
