Tambo Tavern

Tambo tavern has the best meals ever. Fast polite service and excellent food. Will definitely be back soon.

After a complete disaster of arriving in tambo and the place we booked not actually being open we called tambo tavern after hours who gave us a room for the night. Basic, clean and has anything you would need for a nights stay. The lady whom we dealt with was very friendly. Thanks again!

A great little friendly pub. The ladies were so welcoming and engaging. After I had a couple of beers, I settled on the House Speciality, of 2ft Sausages and Mash. How amazing, with real Pumpkin, Broch🥦, Carrots, and fabulous gravy..... just great simple home cooked meals. The Tavern may not be the prettiest, but the service and food, it tops

What a great night our steaks where perfect. And the hospitality was well i felt like a local.

Had a fantastic meal and great evening with family. Steak cooked perfectly, salad and veg fresh and flavoursome. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great pub.

Were staying here tonight. They had a few issues with power in the rooms tripping. The staff were absolutly amazing they moved us into another room and gave me some free beers to make up for the inconvience. If there was 6 stars i would of done 6. Excellent customer service , great meals, tidy comfortable rooms and most importanly cold beer.

What a great pub. Lamb chops, veg and potato bake for dinner was fabulous, a real home cooked meal and plenty of it. Lots of memorabilia around the hotel and super friendly staff and Kerri the owner went out of her way to show us the fossils in the beer garden. Glad we stopped over for a couple of nights.

i have to give this quaint old pub in a real quaint Queensland outback town 5 stars, been here before and when passing always stop here and its class has no changed

We spent an evening at the pub here in December of 2011 on our road trip through the Queensland bush.

It's a great bush pub and one of our favourites on the trip. Don't be deterred by the odd coloured fluorescent lighting, and don't come expecting some sort of Darling Harbour style ritzy steakhouse either. The food was home cooked and simple, but tasted better than excellent. Definitely try the egg salad it was the best I've ever had!

They had a good selection of beer, and the prices were very reasonable. To top it off, the staff were very friendly and and happy to sit down and enjoy a chat with you when the evening was coming to a close. If you're in Tambo, I'd highly recommend an evening here at the pub.

Excellent food. Wife said best chicken parmigiana ever. True. I had lamb shank and it was excellent. All very reasonably priced. Plenty of locals there enjoying a good feed too. Will go back to Tambo again.

Terrific little place for weary travellers like us. Food was delicious and abundant. Well priced too!
Looking forward to visiting during the day next time to check out the museum!
