Minnehaha Falls

Such a beautiful place, the kids had so much fun!
Only thing is limited shade so best earlier in the day in the summer.
Worth a visit and a swim!

What a great little waterfall and swimming hole. It’s right next door to the campground, no walk to to the falls. So good we had to make a little video about it - @cascadequest on TikTok.

This place is great but I don't recommend staying here if you don't like quiet places, nature sounds, Disgruntled Wombats trying to rip holes in your swag, Insane Dropbears chasing your kids like maniacal rabid dogs be prepared for thousands of flies the moment you cook your food and millions of mosquitoes the size of tennis balls trying to stab your jugular vein like Nosferatu of the Night not to mention Crazed Kookaburras twice the size that fling live snakes at you for being in their territory along with Maniac Magpies that swoop at your head trying to remove your eyeballs. You need to be geared up like G.I. Joe just to traverse this God forsaken area.
But if you can manage all that you will love it.

Visited 11/04/24 0n my brother and my Birthday. Yes Twins 68 years young. Last visited in our twenties. The only changes being the toilet and the picnic area other than that it's still the same from memory. The grassed steep hill opposite the picnic area was arduous to climb back in our twenties, and my friends my brother and I fought on the slope and raced down tumbling and rolling to the bottom.

Lovely quiet place to camp. Has drop toilets, small waterfall & few swimming holes.

Glorious place to spend a lazy Summer's afternoon at. The waterfall is easily accessible from the carpark and there is plenty of shade and a soft grassy embarkment to sprawl on and enjoy the lovely summer breeze. A spectacular unspoilt piece of paradise!

The drive in is pleasant. The falls are small but photogenic. Lucky recent rain meant there was water going over, I'm lead to believe that isn't always the case.

Very popular spot on the long weekend, but still enjoyable and quiet.

Lovely waterfall but access to it ATM is a tricky bit.
Access from Grand Ringe rd is a narrow gravel road with many trees fallen and path trough is extremely narrow. Some areas are washed out and I had to engage 4x4 at times. Won't recommend that path for low clearance vehicles at the moment.
I managed to get through though 😉
Another side of Albert river rd has a fallen tree as per the picture below.
There is a way around it but not sure how long the power line will hold that tree.
Anyhow if you are up for an adventure and have a high clearance vehicle - go for it. Else probably wait a few weeks till the roads will be cleared again.

Camped at the campground. It was amazing. Perfect weather for swimming at the Falls. Beautiful bush and amazing birdlife. We will be returning for another visit.
