Beloka Kelpie Stud

Such a great training place and sweetest puppies ever! They have so much knowledge about working dogs and we even went for their Easter event which was really nice with food trucks and lots of different events. They had an intuition yard to see how your dog goes rounding sheep. My dog did amazing with a one day training day! Very happy with my experience.

Paul and Anneke's Dog School rocked our weekend! we have been several times with our two pups. Paul and Anneke know there stuff and make training both a blast and a breeze. Our highlights are the meeting of new people all who have the same interest in having a well behaved dog , fun with sheep herding and the roast dinner and drinks around the firepit on the staurday night. I would definately reccomend a weekend school here :)

Awesome place if you own a kelpie and want to get them some farm experience . been twice had a blast both times . The guy paul who runs it is a legend .highly recommended :)

What great people to deal with. My family and I recently purchased our new pup from Beloka. Both Paul and Anneke were great. They would answer any questions I had promptly and were more than happy to help out. During lockdown caused us some issues with picking our boy up and Paul and Anneke were more than helpful with helping us organise or pup to be freighted to us. When we received our pup, WOW!!! We love taking our two Kelpies - William and Tucker - for sheep herding training. Best weekend ever with Paul & Chloe. Such a unique and fun experience to see our placid kelpie Eddie’s instincts kick in and confidently work sheep. I came to Beloka for Eddie, but soon realised I was the one who needed training - my dog was a natural! I walked away with invaluable knowledge about how to be a good boss in day to day life, and saw Eddie respond incredibly well to the obedience training tailored for working dogs. I am a more confident and proud dog owner and am so grateful to have had this leadership experience. I truly loved every minute and highly recommend this weekend away to kelpies of any age. I attended a training weekend with Paul as I have been out of the game for over 10 years and needed a refresher. All I can say is BEST WEEKEND! Paul had a great way of explaining, was personable, approachable and most of all practical. He was able to find the quality in every dog present and train the owners how to get the best from their dogs and hand their livestock. Before the weekend I was ready to pull my hair out, total mess and ended in tears every time. After the weekend I was confident, had control/bond with my dogs and the following day went home and mustered, independently on foot with absolutely no stress, yelling and resulted in happy sheep, happy dog and happy dance! Thank so so very much Paul and the Beloka Team. I cant wait for the next one

I bought my kelpie from these guys about 1 1/2 years ago. They were fantastic to deal with. Anneke was just so friendly and helpful. I eventually took my puppy back there for some training. Paul was fantastic and really taught me how to train my kelpie correctly. Would highly recommend this place if you need some proper dog training 👍

If I could give this place a higher rating, I absolutely would! They have all been above and beyond amazing. So kind and down to earth, you feel comfortable upon stepping out of the car. We noticed changes in our dogs within hours of arriving. Its the best thing we could've possibly signed them up for. The trainer was very needs specific and worked on each dog (and owner) in the way they needed to adapt the skills necessary for herding work and general obedience and behaviour. Just wow guys. We honestly can't thank you enough! We'll be back for sure! :D

WOW!!! What an awesome experience and weekend for our little Kelpie pup, our kids and myself.

Working with Paul and Anneke at Beloka was a fantastic experience.
We bought a little Kelpie pup and went along to a Beloka Kelpie Camp weekend with her at 14weeks old and it was super awesome to see her work the sheep using those natural instincts.
Having both Paul and Anneke as a sounding board for myself and the kids to fire questions at was great and helped us develop Millie into a now 8 month old perfectly trained pup.
The kids (aged 11 & 14) were given the opportunity to round up sheep with Millie.
This is not a snuggly cuddly education where you learn to cuddle your pup…. This camp is specifically designed to develop a much more obedient pup or dog with techniques and solutions that instils almost instant obedience and positive behaviour into your pup.

Be prepared for a wake up call and a reality check as Paul is bloody great at what he does and does not mess about when it comes to dog obedience however you will be forever thankful for this.

You will leave the weekend with a completely different dog and a much more positively educated mindset into how you should develop consistent well trained dog behaviour.

If you’re after cushy puppy training…. This is mot the place.

If you’re after a fun, informal and effective education that works…. Then get yourself down to Beloka.

I cannot speak highly enough of Paul and Anneke at Beloka. Their experience, knowledge and patience is outstanding. I have attended a few herding weekends in the past with our first kelpie and found them highly valuable, as well as a fun and supportive environment.

Recently, we attended a private session for our new kelpie who we needed help with. We had tried locally for some support, but ended up travelling a long way to Beloka, and it was extremely worthwhile. Paul really is the leading expert when it comes to kelpies. If you have a working dog or even just looking for more help with your pet kelpie, it's worth the trip to Beloka.

This is a true experience....

What an amazing weekend! If youve just added a kelpie/border collie to your family and need help with training/obedience then this is your place. What you will learn is phenomenal. Paul is worth his weight in Gold. We took our 7 year old "labby cross" for the weekend where paul helped us teach the old boy new tricks. Paul and Anneke were fantastic hosts and very accommodating to all dogs and owners helping with their needs respectively. We cannot wait to come back!

Paul is an excellent trainer, I've taken my Kelpie pup there twice now and see such major improvement each session with Paul. Great advice and guidance.

Had a super informative weekend at Paul's. Was a great experience and keen to get back there.
