Huge big area often used for free camping. Walking distance to a winery.

With a great little kid/pet friendly waste deep river to swim in.

Old Ventures area 35 years ago, there used to be a hall across the road with the bridge. 1st Wangaratta Ventures lol. Trout fishing, redfin and Platypus. EDI what a stunning spot!

Great little Free Camping spot 🍁 on the bank of the King River. Easy access for all vehicle types. Fire pits allowed and dog friendly.
The site is in a Residential zone, so remember conditions apply, such as No operating your Generator between 8pm and 7am. Opposite the King River Estate Winery 🍷 Cellar Door, which is a real bonus. Recommended.

Beautiful area to stay and free camp. Quiet and well utilised by travellers.
There are toilet facilities but I didn't use these so I cannot comment on them.
Highly recommended.

Great spot, shady, not too busy, river access and winery across the road. Close to the road. No toilets available when we stayed but if you have your own its the perfect spot.

Camped here years ago, first time back and still awesome place to camp. Toilets are out of commission because a tree fell on them, other than that gets extremely busy over long weekends but still worth the trip.

I'm advising bring your rafting boats and Take sometime to select your camping place
Water level of river is amazing plan your trip the day of more than 27c of temperature
