Macpherson Homestead

I loved this stop! Google Map doesn't even propose it. But it's a educational and photogenic stop. Even abundant purple wildflowers during Spring season. Old rusted cars are amazing. Very neat toilets available as well.

Fantastic place to visit and learn about early settlements and their people.

A beautiful venue for weddings and celebrations just outside of the Carnamah township. The homestead was originally built in 1870. Tastefully restored and an authentic slice of Australian nostalgia.

Absolutely loved it, make sure you ring the shire to get the place open to see inside. A credit to all that have helped in the restoration of this place.

So much history here and so well kept. The pioneer machinery was very interesting and so rewarding. Congrats to all concerned.

Luogo affascinante, in grado di far capire come si viveva in queste zone quando davvero non c’era nulla (non che ora sia moooolto diverso eh!)
Per visitare l’interno bisogna chiamare il responsabile (chiedete al Post Office dove, tra l’altro, fanno pure il caffè) ma già curiosando fuori, tra il portico e i mezzi, ormai rottami, dell’epoca ci si sente nell’Ottocento.

Plus: ci sono i bagni e sono pure puliti

Really awesome place great history and I always love knowing how people loved the stories they tell and what it’s all about always worth the stop and read if you love our history just another great family who contributed to the community and also some beautiful architectural beauty:)
