What a great place. We fallen in love with it and Elaine is a great lady. We went back 4 times and will definitely be going back next trip. Found some pretty sapphire’s and the mine touring was so interesting. If your ever passing through make sure you stop and go have a tour or try your luck in a bucket or 2

We had so much fun at the mine tour and spent time fossicking after the tour . This place is a great experience and suitable for all ages .

Bobby dazzlers has been under new management since my last visit. The new owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Bookings are recommended to tour the underground mine as the tour is popular and spots fill fast.
The tour guide was extremely informative and was able to deliver the information in a way that the children were able to understand. He answered all questions and was understanding.
This is a must do when visiting the area

Amazing experience. A must do for ALL ages. Age appropriate activities as well. The Tour guide’s passion spoke volumes and the patience with the kids was worth much more than the cost. Cap the tour off with the history and stories given by the team and the bucket of fossicking mud to finish the trip off. Great way to spend hours or the whole day.
Bookings are essential for tours as safety underground is paramount.

Awesome place to visit. We ended up going back for six days. Elaine and the team are amazing. We found a stone, which with the teams help we had cut for my daughter. Couldn't recommend more.

Spent 2 days here. First day did the underground mine tour and sifted through a bucket of wash and found a lovely blue sapphire. Staff very helpful and will guide you through the process. Today we did the morning walk to the river and dig your own wash tour. It was awesome and yes we found a 44.5ct sapphire. Highly recommend this. Great food and friendly, helpful staff and owner. Came away happy indeed!

We took our young bloke into Bobby Dazzler today to learn how to fossick with one of the ready to go random dirt buckets. The staff were absolutely awesome and super patient. We learnt so much and actually found heaps of cool sapphires and a couple of zircons. We had a great afternoon!

Hats off to the staff and would highly recommend.

Great time! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went with one of my patients with an intellectual disability and he also absolutely loved it ! Easy for everyone to participate and we found 5 stones !
We will definitely do that again for our next visit !

We loved our underground mine tour. Brenton was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was relaxed and fun and Zac, a trainee who joined us, seems to have had mining experience, and will be a great guide too. Thanks also to Elaine.

Had a great day out. Really friendly and helpful staff. Happy to pass on their knowledge. Great for kids also. Total of 86ct from 2 buckets of wash.

From the get go, Fran the owner was friendly and helpful. We organised a tour ($55pp) which included a 40min talk and dig with an experienced fossicker, Jason. He had useful tips and was genuinely passionate and helpful in finding gems for his to tour group.

You are left with 2 buckets each of gem-rich soil that you dig up. This took us about 3h to sieve and clean up to find our modest collection of blue rocks. The staff are there any time you need help identifying gems. We spent from 9am-2:30pm here, it was moderately hard work and we came out with about 15-20 small gems (size of rice grain). Even though it’s a long process we found it to be therapeutic looking for these beauties.

I would recommend this for people who have never fossicked before and/or want an all-in-one station where you can dig, sieve and wash your findings.

We highly recommend the guided fossicking trail that was done by Corey. He shared some of his knowledge of what to look out for when collecting your own wash and how to fossick and identify sapphires. We took our German Shepherd with us and had a great time! Oh & I found about 42 carats :)

Had a fantastic day. Did a guided tour with Jason. Dug our own wash. Sorted through our buckets of wash and found 178 carats of sapphires. Jason was very knowledgable and helpful. Ruby Fran was also very helpful and lovely. Definitely recommend doing this tour if you have never been fossicking before.

We finally got to go on the fossicking trail & down in the underground mine. What a fantastic morning we all had. If your wanting to go in search for sapphires I recommend doing this first, it certainly helps to know where and how to find them. We found over a hundred cts each with the largest being 115cts sapphire. Greatly friendly group of ladies and the coffee was great also.
