The rooms were very clean and well fitted out. Our self-contained unit included a kitchen, mini bar items and laundry facilities. Jane and Michael were very welcoming and provided good suggestions on what to see and do. We really enjoyed the astronomy lesson from Michael and the fantastic opportunity to see a couple of planets 'up close'. We highly recommend the Rubyvale Motel.

Great place to stay on the Gemfields. The rooms were excellent and very clean. Although the owners were away during our stay their staff were exceptional in looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again and have in fact booked for a longer stay next year.

I love this place, it's peaceful, clean and friendly. They also have some very beautiful and well-priced Australian Sapphire Jewellery - all handmade in Australia! The local wildlife visit too, what an experience! Rubyvale is a lovely quiet place.

Lovely stay in a quiet country setting a short drive from town. Very welcoming on arrival. We enjoyed seeing the wallabies and kookaburras. Too bad the observatory was closed on the night we were there.

Very clean, well setup, good location and views make this a great choice. Lots of small touches in the accommodation and friendly staff really top it off. Also close to town and you get good recommendations on what is available.

Central to everything

My partner and I visited Rubyvale to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in one of the Taylor's beautiful units for the duration of our stay and I wouldnt have it any other way! The accommodation was serene and private. The units are clean and beautifully furnished with a great little kitchenette and all the bits and pieces you need.

Jane met us as we arrived in the reception meets store where we oohed and ahhed over her fabulous creations. She probably made the largest impact on the entire experience for me! She was so kind and so helpful as we were new to the area. We had a fantastic chat about her craft and all the good things to do to have a great time in the sweetest little mining town.

Unfortunately while her pieces were impeccably crafted with stones ill probably be dreaming about for years to come, my partner and I wanted to try our hand at the hard yakka of digging for our own special gem and creating something special together. She was so gracious and helpful still and was more than willing to point us in the right direction.

We'll be back im sure! Thank you for contributing to the best bithday I've had in a long time. I cannot recommend this place enough.

What wonderful owners. They were really helpful with local knowledge and attractions. Spent two beaut nights here and would readily go back.

Very clean, great set up, comfy bed, has everything you need for self catering, laundry, etc. Lots of friendly wildlife at your front door to feed. Close to shops, hotel, sahire mine etc in town

Our second stay in these units and we have enjoyed it as much as the first time. Units are clean and comfortable and everything for self catering is provided. The locality is very quiet and close to town facilities. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. We would recommend it anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

Our room was very lovely and welcoming as well as extremely clean. It was a pleasure talking to Jane, she did everything to ensure we were well looked after and was very helpful.

The owners and wonderful and super helpful with what to see and do around Rubyvale. They also turned on the aircon before we checked in so the room was cool apon entry, amazing touch.

The only place to stay when visiting the Gemfields. Not only are the units fantastic, the owners, Jane and Michael are ideal hosts. And there's the pool...enough saId. Walking distance - if you're energetic - of the best Tourist attraction in the area, Miners Heritage, a must do experience, but also the pub, shop, cafe and library, not to mention the tennis courts. Best to book during the peak winter 'season' and especially the Gemfest (August) period

Wonderful nights stay. Hosts very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Views lovely. The observatory tour of the night sky was impressive and lived it. Well worth the visit. Would come back.

Absolutely faboulous. Great unit, perfect clean, quiet surrounds, paddy melons hand feeding at the door. Staff very friendy and two minutes from the Mine Experience, a must do, and two minutes fromthe pub and town.
