Our family's four-night stay at Sapphire Caravan and Cabin Park was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the incredibly hospitable owners, Darrell and Victoria. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort, creating a memorable experience. The park's ambiance is truly unique, offering a beautiful swimming pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. The daily bird feeding at 5 PM, often accompanied by wallabies, was a hit with the children, adding a special touch to the already wonderful atmosphere. This park serves as an excellent base for exploring the nearby sapphire fields, with the added convenience of trying your luck directly within the park grounds. A delightful surprise awaited one of our children celebrating a birthday—a thoughtful card from the owners along with a bag of stone grit, revealing several sapphires, added a magical touch to our stay. Highly recommended for a family adventure that combines relaxation with the thrill of treasure hunting!

Fantastic caravan park in a garden, bush setting surrounded by friendly birds & large sites well spread apart.
The camp kitchen has an oven, bbqs and every utensil/appliance you need to cook up a storm.
Staff here are extremely welcoming and friendly. 100% recommend.

We had a great long weekend here with some friends. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a very well equipped kitchen. We booked a room with no en-suite, but were right by the toilet block which was clean and well maintained. The camp kitchen is also very nicely set up with everything you could need, as well as some games and DVDs. We loved the afternoon bird feeding and the bush feel of the campsite. If we ever head back out to Sapphire we know where we will stay!

A wonderful place to stay with warm and welcoming staff who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. This park has excellent facilites, and has been thoughtfully designed with large open sites, two well-stocked camp kitchens, and a wildlife area where the lorikeets, wallabies and cockatoos gather to be fed each day. With its interesting cabins, cool pool, and garden features, it is a local attraction in itself. They have bags of wash you can dig through or they can show you where to go in town to do your own fossicking. There is a long bush track for walking around the property, or you can just wander down into the bush behind the park. We arrived for a few days and stayed for weeks. Best camp ever.

Amazing caravan park with clean amenities. Victoria and Darrell have gone above and beyond to cater to the needs of guests. Sites were well shaded and pet friendly! Love the serenity and quiet camp sites to wind down. Beautiful birds to feed at sundown. You can even fossick your wash here to see if you've struck luck with gems to take home!
Camp Kitchen and BBQ Hut - just awesome!!
Can't wait to come back here again :)

We are just completing a 3 week trip doing the qld dinosaur trail, we have stayed in a number of parks and free camps along the way. I can say this is hands down the best van park I have stayed in.
The service, facilities and quirky touches of this park raise it way above the run of the mill parks you usually encounter.
Outstanding camp kitchens and cabins if required. Shady van parks spread throughout the park. Bird feeding , pool, etc. Highly recommend

Just stayed for 2 nights at this lovely park, very clean and great amenities. The owners and other staff were all wonderful and very helpful. I had a lovely site overlooking the bushland, was able to watch the wildlife from my van, spacious sites and very peaceful. Definitely a place earmarked to visit again on my travels

Cannot speak more highly of this location, nor of the owners Darrell and Victoria.
The location of this place is great, and the kitchen facilities second to none.
Darrell and Victoria could not be more helpful. They are very approachable and have a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area. We able to point us in some great sites to visit.
The laundry was functional, and the toilet blocks kept clean and very well presented.
The park itself is very nice and quiet. It was a great surprise to have the wildlife feeding in the afternoon. This was a great bonus.
Thanks Darrell and Victoria for a wonderful stay

This place is incredible.
Darrel and Victoria are the nicest people and we absolutely loved staying here. I'm with my family of 5 and it accommodates all of us perfectly. Amazing amenities. Fossicking on site. Can't say enough good things about it.
One particular thing that was amazing was that we needed a bottle of milk cause we were low but unfortunately all they had was long life carton milk, so Darrel DROVE MY SON out of the kindness of his heart down the road so he wouldn't have to walk. Going above and beyond doesn't even begin to cut it. We love this place and if we're ever in the area again we will be back. 😁

We loved our stay at this amazing park. We had a camper and found a great spot to stay 5 nights. Our hosts Victoria and Darryl provided a very welcoming environment and we were just like kids enjoying the bird feeding every afternoon. The cabins and buildings on the park were built in part from Billy boulders and were quite amazing. The steakhouse a well as a fully equipped camp kitchen gave you lots of space and choice for cooking and eating areas. Set in private bushland, every spot provided you with a nice surrounding. Great pool too! Thanks for a great stay! Michele and Pat!

We just left this beautifully laid out caravan park.
Out of 5100klm of travelling so far, this one takes first place.
Only 40min drive from Emerald, it is well worth going out of your way to stay here.
If you don't own a van/RV, don't worry they have nice stone cabins thru out these lovely surroundings.
The owners have gone to a lot of effort in presentation and upkeep, it is a credit to them.
I have some great photos to show.
Thank you guys,

Fantastic park that caters for all levels of camping from tents to big caravans. The amenities were clean (and plenty of them) and the camp kitchen was amazing! The hosts were lovely and so helpful and knowledgeable. There is bird feeding every evening that guests can join in. One of the best parks we've stayed in so far.

Sapphire Caravan & Cabin Park at Sapphire is a great park to stay when you're at the gemfields. We have just spent 4 days staying in the cabins there and couldn't fault them, the hosts were really friendly, the bush setting is well presented. You can pan for gems, feed the birds and wallabies in the afternoon. As a rating out of 10 it's a 10+ we will be going back again next time we go to the gemfields. PS We were a group of 15 adults and kids

We booked late for a school holiday weekend, lucky to get a site. The site was a bit small for a 2 room tent with an awning, but beggars can't be choosers. Great amenities, including a camp kitchen and bbq area. Everything is top notch. Barista made coffee was available. And they were flexible to let us check out late to let the tent dry after a day of rain.

Stayed in the overflow sounds second rate but is excellent. Bush views away from all the others. Power and Water what else do you need. Very welcoming hosts and overall a great experience thanks Victoria and Daryl.
