Saturday and Sunday you can fossick for saphires. Park opens at 8.30 and for $20 you are supplied with all the tools you need. So much fun and you get down and dirty.

I highly recommend Billabong Blue to anyone looking for a great day out or wanting a camping adventure holiday. Bill the owner, is a truely lovely man. Very helpful and fantastic with children. Everyone we seen there was having a fantastic time also. Finding heaps of saphires! This place is the real deal.

Went to Billabong Blue Sapphire jewelry store last June 8 to 14, 2018 and their jewelries are so affordable.It is cheaper than the rest of the jewelry shop in Sydney and Adelaide.Their sapphire jewelries come from the sapphires found both in Billabong Blue Sapphire Fossicking Park and other sapphire mining companies in Inverell.You can be sure that it is real and natural sapphires unlike those sold in other stores where it is already manmade.What i love most about Billabong Blue Sapphire jewelry store is that the owners Anna and Rhonda really takes good care of their customers. Rhonda was so gracious and kind hearted that she personally drove me back and forth the fossicking park because i went there alone without a car. Anna was so accomodating and kind hearted too and even offered to show me around Cope dam so i can see thousands of Kangaroo since it is my first time in Australia. They really take good care of their customers and they tell you the sources of each of the gemstones they sold in their jewelry store. They also have a gem tester so you can check if the stones they sell are really true gemstones. What amazes me is that their jewelries are so affordable.I will definitely go back there.😊😉😄

While in Inverell a MUST DO is Billabong Blue fossicking park. They will take you through all the steps. Supply all the equipment. My husband found a large saphire

We were told by Visitor Information Center staff that this is a good shop for local Sapphire and the same owner owns the Fossicking park with the same name.

We had a great day looking for sapphires here. We even found some.

This place is amazing, Bill the owner was awesome and we found over 100 stones in 3 days so we are stoked and can't wait to come back. Thanks Bill

Had a great time fossicking. Caretaker showed us what to do and what to look for Very dusty work, came out looking like a ghost. Found some small Sapphires which keeps you looking, could be addictive.
