Horrible experience today with a nurse we hadn’t seen before - it was a different one, younger Asian lady. 26th April morning shift.
The nurse was taking so long with every patient, over 30mins each. Never witnessed such delay in any pathology clinic. so after over 1hr wait, we see a patient walk out saying nurse could not draw her blood. My wife was next, she struggled with the needle painfully searching for vein in good arm, failed to do that. Then moved on to other arm and painfully moved needle around to find vain there and failed again! Just like prior patient. This has never happened to any of us before.
The nurse was asking if she drank fluids and said to her that she has no blood to take today.
We had an urgent case so ran down to next pathology 500m away and within first minute painless the nurse drew the required blood sample.

It’s clear the first nurse had no idea what she was doing and lacked the skills required.
