Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. Exciting food with high quality presentation and service. We had our parents with us with some dietary restrictions however menu were extensive and inventive catering to people from all ages. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it.

Love the underground heritage sandstone inside and out vibe here. The food is always superb. My go to place for any meal when in Picton. A hidden gem.
Oh, the staff are super nice with great service too. My salmon was cooked to perfection. My friends cleaned up their plates very well. Highly recommended. I hear they've great dinner and show upstairs in The Cheese Cake Factory.

We had our daughters 1st Birthday and naming day at Vabys Picton recently in the upstairs function room. Really happy with the venue and the services provided. The owner was fantastic every step of the way during planning right up to the actual day. So happy we found it and will use again for any other special occasion, we had the catering packages and were super happy with it all! Thanks

Quality of food and services. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Fully recommend.there is function room upstairs and capacity to cater more than 150 guests easily.

Took my parents here for lunch mid week. There's plenty of parking nearby, the restaurant is tucked away which was nice. Food was great, seafood Platter for 2 and a chicken dish. Service was excellent, meals came out in a good amount of time and it was a pleasure to dine here.

We held a surprise birthday party, everyone was very impressed with the atmosphere and food was delicious we had buffet style.
The upstairs reception area was beautifully decorated.

Loved the restaurant. Has got character to it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are super friendly. One of best in town. Loved everything that we ate and the coffee was great so had to go for my 2nd one.

Everything was smooth from booking, organising, to the actual event itself. Rabi was very helpful and flexible to all arrangements we desire. Food is great and very tasty ( we even dine in a couple times before the booking to check if the food was delicious and they didn’t fail). Massive parking area as it is near the station. I think the only setback that day was the the AC. It wasn’t pumping as hard as it was a VERY hot day with 50 people in it.

We had a belated Birthday lunch for my daughter at Vabys Picton as we always ate here when we lived in the area. Food was good then but now Food was next level 😋 and the wait staff and management was excellent. Would definitely travel back for more fine dining.

Recently had the pleasure to dine here with friends, and it was a pleasure. Too many times you go to a restaurant and come away thinking was that really worth the money spent. I have to say at Vaby's it was very well spent. The food was great, ( my wife loved the piggyback prawns) the vibe was very good, the staff were very efficient and supportive of a few extras we wanted. The service was not rushed. Too many times we have gone to other establishments where mains are served on top of entrees still being consumed but at Vaby's it was very relaxed. Staff were very polite and couldn't do enough to assist. Do I recommend this place yes, very much. I also had a very good experience approximately 1 year earlier at their upstairs function area so if you are consideting a special occassion, birthday bash, wedding , company dinner then you really couldn't go wrong at Vaby's.

The food was a fresh and delicious and affordable menu. The service was attentive and professional. We went for lunch and this was a great choice. The foods we selected met our expectations. Perfect location and great place to eat something different . I highly recommend this restaurant . Also, if you have planning to do a function it will be your best choice.

We considered this restaurant for our wedding reception, and we were thoroughly impressed with the experience of our first visit. The owner, in particular, was incredibly patient and accommodating, helping us craft the perfect solutionand menu for our special day. The pricing was more than reasonable, and the value exceeded our expectations. The vibe of the hall downstair is also great for any romantic dating. Highly recommended for any special occasion or simply a fantastic dining experience.

The Vabys team are super lovely. Had a great meal. I had chicken camarao (with prawns) and my wife prawn fettuccine. Both delicious. Will go back for sure.

My family of 6 had lunch at Vaby's today for Father's Day.
I cannot rate them highly enough! We have been twice in recent months, and both times have been wonderful.
We all had entrees, mains and desserts, and we could not fault any of the dishes. They were all incredibly yummy and presented nicely.
The staff were fantastic too - very attentive and friendly. It was refreshing to go to a restaurant where you don't have to chase the staff to order extra drinks or food - they checked in regularly and nothing was too much trouble.
As a bonus, they are family friendly and our toddler and 9 month old enjoyed their visit. They provided my toddler with an activity pack, my baby with a high chair and they have baby changing facilities.

Ok... Ze best burger I ve had since I moved to Australia 4 years ago and my meat was rare as I asked ! Very tasty ! Generous ! Home made from scratch. Of course I asked to have this baby without beet ! Seriously it was delicious.
My wife had a great risotto with leek chips on top..
Our waitress from Poland was so lovely with her Hollywood smile ;)
We decided this place will be from now on our stop over for lunch when we drive through Picton.

We just celebrated christmas day lunch. The food was lovely. Thank you for consideration for vegetarians and coming to our table with additional dishes and to check we were happy. We had a great time and will be back for christmas day next year.

We had an excellent experience here with a group of 16 people on a Wednesday lunch. Great food and variety also service was terrific. We will definitely come back. Very accommodating with a couple of not so able bodied guests. Thank you for a great experience 👌🏻

My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience all around and received personal service. Nothing was too much for them. The atmosphere is very cosy. In Winter the fire place would be wonderful. There is even an upstairs area for larger functions. There is plenty of parking next to the Picton train station.
