A stunning campsite in the heart of the national park, with loads of wildlife. Facilities are limited, and no reception, but we were in a campervan so suited us perfectly. As with other reviews access can be a little challenging. The road in is unsealed and after some rain when we arrived in May all the fords were full of about 20cm water. Clearance would be the main concern for a small car but we had no issues in an older 2WD van.

Fantastic setup, clean and tidy campground with toilet facilities. Each campsite has fire ring and picnic table which is awesome. Country is beautiful.

Went to here for a picnic and walk. The drive in fords the creek many times. Our 2wd handled it fine though. Had a BBQ on a fire pit and walked up the hill. Afterwards drove up to the Dripping Rock nearby. A beautiful view and fun walk for our whole family.

Great place, walking and wildlife. Had the camp-site too ourselves, other than a few friendly roos.

Great place to camp and experience the rocky hills in this NSW National Park. Don't expect Dripping Rock to do much more than drip most of the year unlike the photos.

Serene, secluded and picturesque campground by the terarra creek but more suited for 4WD camping due to the condition of the road. After taking exit from The Escort Way , 7.3 km road is unsealed with 14 or more fords in between. These fords were dry when we went there on January but when it’s raining these can be filled with water.
We took AWD sedan car which crossed the ford with ease but the biggest gripe was ground clearance as it touched the ground 4 times even with taking extra care. If it’s raining I bet it will be super challenging for 2WD to reach the campground. Please check the photos for the road conditions.

Some facilities are:
. Drop toilet with toilet papers
. Large campground, ample of camping sites
. Fire pit and picnic tables
. Well maintained and clean
. Free campground
. Camp beside the vehicle

Things to consider
. No network reception (Telstra and Optus)
. Open campground, no shade in campsite from 11 am to 3 pm
. Can be super windy at night (can be quite disturbing night for bigger tents)
. No water facilities
. No rubbish bins
. Challenging road for 2WD
. Ground is hard due to access of vehicle to the campground (Remember to bring the mallet or hammer)
. Hiking routes such as Chinamans Garden walking track, Mount Nangar walking track are fully covered with bushes probably due to not being walked much.

TLDR.
This campground is more suited to 4WD camping. Road is rough. Hiking track are not much walked , may be hard to find the track.
Overall campground is clean and peaceful but there are not much things to do other than hiking or relaxing at campground.

If you are 4WD adventurer or a serious bush hiker and not scared with snakes especially red bellies one this camping area offers 4 hiking routes covered with bushes. If you are an average Joe like us there are better accessible campground around blue mountains.

Has toilets and wood fired BBQ's , lots of space and many shady trees . council have installed wooden seating near the BBq's . It is a nice flat spot out of the wind which makes it great for camping with lots of walking tracks nearby. It is 4wd only country as it gets quite rough further up the track.

Nice camp ground. The drop toilet was very clean. The camp sites were mostly well spaced and quiet. The road out is unfortunately a bit of a hard drive but doable.

Great area for camping and a picnic. A dirt road in to toilet camp area with 16 creek crossings but if you take time can be done is 2wd.
