Urban Ground Mordialloc

Dropped in for a beer and something to eat with my brother and his two
year old son. Plenty of options to eat with three trucks dishing up food. Great beer selections and the kids play area was a perfect distraction whilst we waited to eat. Atmosphere was great with a full venue and some friendly dogs hanging out too,

We came to Urban Ground in pursuit of some delicious tacos we read about in Broadsheet from Tacos LA, and they did not disappoint! They were super juicy and mouthwatering... I could have easily eaten another serving!

I wasn't sure what to expect venue-wise; however, it had a great atmosphere even in winter. The footy played on a big screen in the background, and many cute dogs were out and about.

We ate Greek donuts for dessert. The balls themselves were golden fried with a light, fluffy texture. The toppings were quite disappointing though.

Great selection of local beer, a few food carts with lots of meat, and they allow dogs outside which is great! Beef brisket with all the trimmings was delicious, and there was plenty of different varieties of beer to wash it down with. There's a small playground out the back area and plenty of seating. Very enjoyable to spend the afternoon when the weather is nice!

It's such a gem hidden in the suburbs! I love the food the environment and the vibe. La.tacos are the best Mexican food I have ever tried in Melbourne! Amazing 👏

Great space for larger groups and a mix of adults & kids.
We were there for a Sunday lunch with only 2 trucks available but enough options for all to choose from.
The kids playground area is a bonus and yummy drinks on offer too!

Great place to relax and have a beer and sample some real good food truck food and have a nice drink in the sun. Great play area for the kids and large selection or beer and drinks on offer. Everything was clean and well maintained even the service was super fast.

Tom and Rory were so lovely and friendly. We really appreciated them going the extra mile to make us feel welcome and making sure we were taken care of on a Sunday.

A breathe of fresh air
Outside with food trucks and fresh gin. What more could you ask for. Taken from the inspiration of a lifetime lived, Urban Ground and their distillery St Felix give fresh life to a revitalized pocket. Get involved with the house distilled gin, Colonial beers on tap and miles of outdoor space (most of it undercover, bloody genius). Add a playground for the kids and food trucks on rotation and this easily the best watering hole in Mordi to fill your Summer days.

We've visited Urban Ground Mordialloc a few times now, that they should probably introduce a frequent diners program! 😂 Anyone else?

The local area was really missing out on a permanent gig with food trucks, and they've really done well with such a great range of permanent and rotating eats! If you're not aware, they've got a pretty sweet setup for kids. It includes swings, a cubby house, and building blocks. It's mostly weather protected and close to seating.

The only downside is the parking in the area, but usually when we go, we beat the main rush.

Urban Ground coffee is definitely my cup of tea. Bowl'd's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - card only payment. And the moveable feast trucks in for dinner...

Great ribs from the Texas place. Meat fell off the bone. Comes with coleslaw. Nice place for lunch with friends. Good for families as there is a playground and plenty of space for kids to run around..

Loved it here. Wine was good. Food was really yummy. Dogs kids are welcome. (I didn't have either) The heaters were great for outside dining. Will definitely return and try other food trucks and would love to bring friends and family. I would like to try the gin as well.

I had my B'day here and it was perfect! All the kids loved it, especially the playground and the adults loved it cause they could get their food and drinks and not have to leave the kiddos while they played! The food truck options were amazing too!
This is definitely one of my favourite places and the kindness of the staff is exceptional. I will be back soon!

Great drinks and food here! We had pizza from DOC and it was 10/10 and the calamari truck was epic! Great place for families, the playground is a winner for the kids and dogs are welcome also! We will be back!

Delicious healthy food and great outdoor and indoor seating areas. The outside section has a wonderful play area for little ones but there’s enough space for customers to really enjoy the place and not be disturbed by kids! Great drinks menu but the coffee was a bit weak.
Sandwiches available from a food truck on the premises too. Definitely worth a visit 😋
Used to be Urban Ground but it’s still just as delicious!

In the area today and had a really healthy poke bowl for lunch. I really liked the menu and the atmosphere. It's a really chill place with great healthy food. Really dog friendly. Service was great. Il be going back & I highly recommend. Great neighbourhood cafe.

Great environment, great music. The food is delicious. Philly steak cheese is the best. Beer is good also

I hold this place as an example of what a decent eating establishment should be like.
It's a shame they're not vegan anymore, that was the real HEY DAY of this place.
Now, it's thrifty without coming across as cheap, it's FULL of options, but not dirty or tacky and the food is filling and interesting.
Also a HUGE range of beers/ciders/seltzers for literally everyone.
We even organised a birthday there a few months ago - couldn't be happier with the place (well, unless they went vegan again).
