Explore the bush and sand dunes

View across the ocean and back along the beach and scout out some awesome camping location

This really is a must visit

Had a magic day there, visited 5 Rocks, 5 Rocks beach, stockyard Point, 9 mile Beach and stoney Creek. It was a bust day, but truely worth the drive from Brisbane.

We spent one night in at 5 Rocks. Do lower tyre pressures to at least 15 psi to drive in here. Had no problems getting in or out. Big Sandy is doable but keep moving at a good pace. 👍 great 4WD experience. Beautiful beaches. We did a quick beach clean-up, kayaking and hiking. Camped at Myrtella camping ground right on the beach. Book and pay ahead. Had a wonderful visit.

Amazing place to visit, all the sights and great fishing.
However you will need a capable 4x4 to access 5 rocks and 9 mile beach area.
But byfield is all able to be traversed in a 2 wheel drive.

Upper stoney creek campground is one of the best free campgrounds I've stayed at, good size plots, excellent fire pits you can cook on. Then a 4wd trip through to 9 mile beach and 5 rocks beach was rounded the weekend off a treat.

Such a great spot to explore the tracks out to the beachs are a lot of fun if you enjoy 4wding and Nine mile Beach is just beautiful and camping there is like paradise

Terrific place to visit for a day trip or camp a few days, 5 rocks is stunning and well worth a closer look. Must have 4WD to get through Big Sandy..

Great place too go need a decent 4x4 to get there but well worth the trip up big sandy!!

Love travelling to Byfield National park. Need a 4we to get to five rocks but if you don't have one, a two wheel drive to upper stoney is still a great day out.

Beautiful place! The showers provided at the camp grounds are amazing! Sadly it was booked out over the weekend, but just spending the day was worth it to drive there. We are definitely coming back!

Loved it! Beautiful hills to explore. Soft sand, so be sure to come prepared. Beautiful beaches etc. Would love to have spend more time there exploring. Will be back.

Incredible. Always. Ensure you have a 4wd and lower your tyre pressure. This place is magical full of sand driving, look outs and beaches. You can also organise to camp here at several different spots

Absolutely beautiful..!! 4wd only. Must be experienced in 4 wheel driving. Must have the appropriate vehicle..!!! But when get here, it's amazing..!!!

This is a really beautiful place. Big sand dunes, clear freshwater creeks and the potential for a wave.
