Get your fourby here and explore! Bring a mate, go fishing and enjoy the camping. Red Rock is a grassed and spacious camping area for campers, vans and tents... My pick of the places to stay nearby but make sure you have insect repellent. To get into Byfield you need to air down around 10-15psi) and expect a chopped up track to get up Sandy but it's worth the effort.

The track in realy made my day with creek crossings and a great send dune climb. We went with 6 other 4x4s and all made on to the beach fine with no recoverys lol. Tyre pressure played a big key in us all getting over the big sandy once you see the beach it made it all worth wild cant wait to go back again!!!

Beautiful national park north of Yeppoon. Pristine beaches with temperate waters. There are spots for tent camping or holiday houses available for rental at Stockyard point (limited availability during holiday seasons). The track in requires a decent 4 x4 vehicle and fourwheel driving experience. You should come prepared with food and water and emergency equipment (first aid kit, torches etc) as the track in and out can become cut off with decent rain.
A really special spot great for swimming, surfing fishing and hiking

Best part of the central Queensland coast! Don't even bother unless you have a half decent four wheel drive...and know how to drive in sand!

Great little spot just north of Yeppoon. Heaps of camping spots with amenities be sure to book as gets quite busy. Nice fresh water swimming holes and a good sand 4x4 drive to nine mile beach and 5 Rocks.

Beautiful and unique area. Lots of soft sandy 4wd tracks, the super steep parts were all "hardened" with wooden slats to make inclines more achievable. A super wonderful area where the hills meet the sea.

It would be a privilege to and would absolutely love to go back.

Awesome fishing at both stockyard and five rocks itself. Emus are a common sight and big Sandy is awesome fun. Tyres best below 20 psi

Upper Stoney Creek..... perfect spot for day visit and camping. Right on creek with clear running water. Shame about the slobs who leave their ribbish and dirty nappies. Please take your rubbish home with you and respect this beautiful environment. Rangers
who care for this area are not here to clean up after you.

Isolated and not over populated! Great 4x4 tracks with awesome sand dunes climb. Great views from look outs. Good snorkelling in the right conditions.

Very pretty. I was last here in 2013 and apart from the access road being rough and hard packed from the rain it is pleasantly difficult to tell if anything has changed. We had a BBQ brunch at Stockton Point Camp Ground, drove all the way down Nine Mile beach to Corio Bay, then stoppedon Nine Mile on the way back K for a swim and it was all excellent! Very busy but everyone was friendly and courteous. It was a very enjoyable day.

Beautiful natural part of the world. Took my drone for a flight then paddled my SUP across Corio Bay, just simply stunning. I will try to post some photos.
