I have just experienced an excellent wine tasting with a very noligiable young man from Normandy, France. What an absolute delight it was to taste their lovely wines & chat to a wonderful employee. Kudos to the owner for employing this young man. Made for a very pleasant afternoon.

Hidden gem! I cannot believe that we were the only people here… you are all missing out!
John is a fabulous host and so accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the wine is too good so I needed one of everything 😂
We did book ahead but had kids and dogs in tow yet John ensured every one of us was well looked after.

If you are down this way you have to drop in!

A perfect warm, sunny Sunday afternoon in natures garden savouring some of WA's premier wines and feasting on the most delicious grazing plates adorned with local fresh Marron. The experience was made even more delightful by the warm hospitality that made you feel like a close friend instead of a customer. The consistent service at Smallwater is only exceeded by their quality premium wines.
Thank you

Great winery off the beaten track that we wouldn't have known about if it hasn't been recommended to us. Make that daytour and go get yourself a few bottles.

A gorgeous spot bin the Bunbury Geographe wine region. Amazing food - and stunning views. Great wines - loved the chardonnays and the Zinfandel hit the spot in a cold winter's day!

Absolute Hidden gem of a place. Pre order your grazing platters with Marron. Thoroughly recommended. John the host was great. Astonishing hospitality, fantastic wines, if you are lucky you will get a tour of the vineyards and Marron dams.

Fantastic quiet little spot with beautiful views. Went here for my husbands birthday, and the owner organised a couple of platters for us. The wine is amazing and we walked away with 6 bottles.

Stunning setting off the beaten track with a really nice verandah overlooking dams and woodland.
Huge share plate (not mentioned on website) and tasting. Great wines we both enjoyed.
Open on New Year's Day and thanks for a great afternoon.
We bought the Chardonnay, the Special Reserve and the Port

11/10. Celebrated our Grandmas birthday a couple of Fridays ago, and it was a memorable night!
Did some tasting to choose some wines to accompany the meal. The restaurant itself is rustic and intimate, and held a beautiful warmth. The 4 course set menu was incredible, absolutely stunning dishes that had incredible flavour. Finished off with Tea and Coffee.
Chef Jonny was fantastic! He came out and spoke to us throughout the service and gave us a tour of the new decked area outside. We had some great laughs with him, and he even sprung me pinching food of my Grandmas plate which caused the table to erupt in laughter. He and the staff made it a very personal evening.
The entire family left Smallwater Estate extremely satisfied. Impeccable service and phenomenal food. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Will be back for sure!

Came here for Friday lunch with my mum and my partner. Wonderful wine, great food, and lovely service. Beautiful spot and the decking addition out the back will be a treat this summer. Looking forward to returning for pizza and wine one afternoon when in the south west again.

So glad we chose to celebrate my 70th birthday here. John and his lovely wife were delightful hosts,
as were the rest of the staff.
The setting in the vineyards, with several large dams is beautiful and our meals did not
disappoint. The Estate has won many medals for their wines and our choice of Chardonnay was spot on.
This was the second time we have dined here and look forward to our next time.
10/10 for food, wine, ambience and genuinely lovely people.

We stumbled across this small boutique winery whilst on a weekend away to Ballingup. Hidden down a dirt road, you will feel warm and cosy in a small cottage like room to enjoy some very delicious food. Overall I would say, Great service, excellent wine and brilliant food. Definitely worth the drive.

What can I say, I did not expect the service that I got being a country restaurant and the food was outstanding. I was lucky enough to speak to the chef (johnny) what a top bloke, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, its defiantly worth a detour to go for lunch and the added bonus the wine is pretty good too.
