Allan's Seafood Restaurant

3 weeks ago, I wrote Nice snapper and delicious spring rolls. The salt and pepper squid was a little oily but still couldn't bring the star count down. To be able to choose the type of fish you want at the bargain price here, with chips is amazing. The vista overlooking the river is great. This, my friends, is a hidden gem.
28/10/23 Called in to get some takeaway to see if the quality was the same. Certainly is! Tried the salt and pepper calamari again and it wasn't oily at all this time. And the service is pretty fast as well.

Make sure you stop here for lunch or dinner! The salt and pepper squid was Amazing! Really nice potato scallops too. Would have loved to stay longer in Murwillumbah to try more dishes. Lovely river views if you have time to dine in.

The most underrated restaurant in Murwillumbah. Tables looking over the Tweed River. This time we all had the delicious karage chicken, salad and rice. Previously I had the battered flathead and chips. Generous servings and really nice crunchy batter. The salt and pepper squid is also really tender and delicious.

My husband chose the Ribs, because of a review and he was not disappointed. He wanted to stay another night in Murwillumbah so that he could have another try with a different sauce. My grilled barramundi was superb, beautifully cooked and it certainly didn't need any batter or crumbs to hide such a wonderful piece of fish. Thank you. Oh, and the coffee - wow! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The food was great, service was awesome. This is the second time I've been here and this time we brought our car friends along for a cruise and a great lunch. Everyone loved their food 💜 thank you for your great service especially with a big group like mine

We ordered some seafood tonight, delivered. some sauce we ordered was accidentally forgotten, but Allan came back with 3 sauces and a free 1.2L of coke, Allan was very polite and apologetic. the food was amazing i highly recommend Allans seafood. Thank you so much for your service

the BEST fish I've ever eaten, not only was the snapper fresh and a perfect fillet, there is something different about the batter that makes it the lightest and crunciest without even a hint of oilyness.. its hard to describe.. also i had a garden salad on side and it was also very good.
I came at lunchtime on a thursday so it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
If i didnt live on the other side of Australia i would 100% come here for a feed at least twice a month!

Great place to sit out the back with a view of the river and have a great meal. We've been getting takeaway for years from here but just realised it's hidden real gem for a dinner out by the river and the seafood is great.

Beat fish and chips I’ve had in town. The service was great the staff was super considerate of our pet and served some water for the dog. Great views at the back side. The food was really yummy will definitely come back for it.

I am from Sydney was doing some work around, i tried few places around but this was the best of all. ( simple place great back outdoor view )

They have an amazing, great and the best what else i can say about the Satay Chicken Pizza
Would always remember this place for more Pizzas

I don't care about price as long it was yummy some people wanna save money while eating outside which make no sense. Go buy a tuna can from coles would be cheap you know

This place was awesome!! If you don't stop for a feed and a drink your crazy! Prices are low with beautiful cooked food! The Asian was a bit rude even to her co-workers! But the rest of staff members were terrific!! Great place! Stop anytime your passing by!!

This place is totally underrated. The food is excellent. I know it's just a fish n chip shop but the fish is so fresh and the batter a perfect mix of crispy but substantial. The vege burger was tasty and filling. It ain't flash but there's river view dining and plenty of parking out the back.

10/10 for food and service. I was able to order online (from the UK) for my dads birthday and he was super impressed. I ordered a selection of hot seafood along with a cold seafood platter for 2 and it was a feast! Thank you for your amazing food, service and allowing me to surprise my dad whilst being on the other side of the world!!

Fantastic customer service, delicious meals/Seafood & fast delivery!! Our family have made it a regular occurrence ordering from Allen's Seafood, not once have we been disappointed! Their prawns are absolutely delicious as are the meals we've tried so far but the calamari wow that is next level good!!

The food and service at Allan's is always good. But the calamari today was friggin delicious. And the wait is never long. Can't fault this place.

On road trip. Arrived late but they cooked a wonderful meal which we ate on the peaceful back deck.
I spilled my bag and gathered up 'everything' but didn't see my black address book on the ground below. Two weeks later, I worked out where it might be. YES! Sent them a reply paid bag and $20 thank you but they returned it and the book. VERY Grateful. THank you Tomo (owner) and Marie/Maddy(?) for still having kept it weeks later, and then returning it. Highly recommended and the waitress was also very friendly and attentive on the night and the chef most obliging.

What a surprise. The service we received here tonight emphasises why we should never judge a book by it’s cover. However great service is one thing, having good, wholesome food to back it up is another. Definitely going to be regulars

Allans has always been a family favourite of ours ... always the best meals! Freshest oysters... very friendly service , all round great place to visit !! Also a nice view on the river to sit
