Tweed River House

The food presentation was outstanding, with dishes that were both fresh and delicious. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating our waiter Fletcher was amazing. However, the cocktails need improvement; they tasted too medicinal and could benefit from better presentation. The views are perfect, and inside cozy making the overall experience a 10/10. I would 100% recommend this place and will definitely return.

Let me start by saying that this was truly the best dining experience I've had in Australia—I absolutely loved it. In July 2023, eight of us celebrated my birthday dinner here. The venue is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was elevated even more by the live jazz singer performing that evening.

We chose the three course prix fixe menu and every single dish was exquisite, and I couldn't resist tasting some of my family members' dishes, which were equally amazing. Surprisingly, even though I'm not usually a fan of tuna, the tuna tartare was to die for. It's evident that a lot of effort and consideration went into the planning and execution of these dishes, as the flavours were out of this world.

I will be back again soon and have recommended TRH to all of my friends, and anyone that will listen.

Lovely spot for a special occasion, inside seating or verandah area with beautiful river views and Mt Warning on the skyline. Food is amazing, extensive wine list and plenty of menu options to suit all tastes. Some off-street parking and I think wheelchair access is only to the downstairs dining area, also with river views. Staff were friendly and welcoming and very informative regarding food and wine options.

Beautiful setting for a French style restaurant on the Tweed River. Classy decor yet still a relaxed, northern rivers vibe. Friendly, attentive staff and a decent selection of vegan and vegetarian options. We had a lovely, relaxing lunch and will definitely be back. Tip - book well in advance to secure the river view seating on the veranda.

Absolutely spectacular! A beautiful dining room, innovative delicious cuisine and top notch service. Oh, and the cocktails and the desserts!!! My new favorite place.

We came here for dinner whilst on a work retreat, the decor and set up was amazing. Each dining space was well thought out and tastefully styled. We had a three course meal which was delightful, especially the scallops with squid ink butter. I would love to revisit on a regular dinner night with my date. This venue will be amazing also if you want to host any dinner parties, birthdays or weddings. Also five stars to the staff and owner.

What a beautiful venue, a grand old house that has been lovingly restored and decorated to create fabulous riverside dining. The food was sensational and the service amazing! Thank you Tweed River House… can’t wait to visit again!!

We enjoyed a wonderfully dreamy Sunday afternoon lunch in this beautiful riverside setting. A gorgeous colonial style house sprawling on the banks of the Tweed. The food was delicious, the cocktails refreshing and the ambiance undeniably decadent. If you're looking for a treat, friendly service and an experience of a bygone era, then do yourself a favour, and visit Tweed River House.

What an exquisite fine dining experience.

We shared the 5 course tasting menu and it was perfection ... except maybe the cake in the desert was a little bit dry.

This is an experience in which you savour each morsel. Beauty on a plate and the essence of each component delivered to your senses.

The location on the Tweed River was the perfect place to celebrate. The sun setting over Wolumbin is stunning.

The service was what you would expect from a fine dining experience.

We look forward to returning when we have saved up our pennies... and it will be worth it.

Lovely setting out on the balcony overlooking the lush scenery. Food was superb but you'll probably need three courses to fill up. The only odd thing was the bill - it appears that they don't include GST on the menu prices and so your bill has a little unexpected extra.

What can I say. Beautiful setting by the Tweed River. Impeccable service from friendly and very professional staff. Most importantly, absolutely incredible food. We had the 5 course menu which was amazing. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

This was a spectacular lunch we had today , the view from the terrace was unbelievable , Mt Warning in all her glory and the Tweed river never disappoints . The restaurant was right on the river . Food was amazing , great quality nothing to fault with the whole experience . We will return . Waiter was very attentive , adding to the great experience. Was well worth the drive from the northern Gold Coast .

Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant - from the beautiful interiors and lovely views, to the delicious food and exceptionally high level of service, with genuine warmth and attention. We had a group of 22 people for a special birthday lunch and they did not miss a beat - it was perfect!

Take a beautiful queenslander restored to perfection with refined raffles inspired decor including an amazing embossed metal ceiling imported from New york at the time of building, hire a talented chef and have everything under the supervision of charming owners… you then have the perfect recipe for success.
