Mine lookout

Fabulous views of their old open pit. Still there was mining activities in progress. It's free of charge. Useful information in display. Public toilet and plenty of parking. Perfect for kids and adults to learn and see about Lithium mining, its history and applications. Definitely recommend.

This was amazing. Gates are opened from 9.00 until 5.00pm, worth seeing. Would not be suitable for wheelchairs, it doesn't have stairs but a dirt track.

Wow...what an impressive sight. A massive mine that runs from the old tin mine to newly developed Lithium mining. Talison Lithium is now a world leader in the production of Lithium at the Greenbushes site with a 24x7 operation an around 750 workers across three processing plants fed by a traditional open cut mine and blast operation.

It is magnificent that an active mine allows watching the operations from an overlook like this there are good sign posts explaining the entire process and there are places where you can take pictures. You can see the huge mining trucks work.

What an excellent view of the mining area, highly recommend calling in to see if you're in the area.
There's several information boards on the history of the mine and town, as well as an old miners hut to have a look at.
Keep in mind that the viewing platform is only open to the public between 8am-5pm daily. No toilet's.

Good place to show kid the real open pit although not as big as the gold mine in Kalgoorlie but still a must go if you’re visit Nannup area

Cool place, wish I visited when the sun was brighter and when the town wasnt filled with Lycra wearing middle aged people... amenities available and clean

Well, it's basically a mine. The information panels were good though, give some great insights to the industry. Parking is easy and the hike is just a small one. If you're driving along the route, you can make a stop here
