One of the most delicious meals we've had. Every one of the 11 courses was beautifully presented and delicious with real complexity of flavour. They catered so well for vegans. The service was exceptional - perfectly attentive without being overbearing. The whole thing was an amazing experience, a real journey of vast Australian flavours.

My expectations to come here were already very high, but no doubt the service and the lovely team members looking after us made the experience even better than we thought. Shout out to James, who was extremely attentive and helpful.

As non-Australians, a deep dive into such particular ingredients and flavours was a delight. The beautiful techniques, presentation and attention to every single detail were impeccable. Even when sometimes we look at a specific course and say, ok, that will be just a beautiful plate, looks tasteless… (sorry, not always a beautiful presentation looks yummy 😂), another surprise to our taste buds.

Also, I loved how the ambience wasn’t pretentious, and even though it was a fine dining experience, it felt comfy to be there, and all the different guests looked very welcome. I couldn’t pick a better place to celebrate my partner’s birthday.

Having lived in Melbourne for my entire life, I've naturally developed high expectations for food and wine experiences. However, Attica has far surpassed those expectations.

From their attention to detail and exceptional menu to their almost faultless service and impressive wine selection, Attica provided an unforgettable evening.

I extend my sincere thanks to the entire team at Attica, both front of house and in the kitchen, for creating such a memorable experience. I'm certain that the memories of this evening will linger in conversations for weeks, if not months, to come.

Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Hands down the BEST fine dining experience we have ever had. We planned our trip to Melb around the Attica booking and were not disappointed. The menu featured lots of native ingredients and the standout dish was the crocodile...so delicious. You feel so welcome from the moment you walk in. Loved the brief walk through the kitchen. Service is friendly and attentive. There was a consistent narrative being told throught the food from start to finish. Already thinking about a next visit soon!

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. From the outside the place doesn't look like much but when you go in it's a completely different atmosphere. The dishes are quite unique.

I absolutely loved Attica and think it's easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

The dishes were creative and rather than using ingredients you can get anywhere else in the world they choose to use native ones like saltbush, emu, and crocodile. And, unlike some other tasting menus (Le Bernardin or Jean Georges), every single dish at Attica was well balanced and delicious.

The experience component is really important to me at these sorts of restaurants as well, and I think Attica probably stood out the most in this respect. Rather than just shower you with excessive amounts of wait staff or opulent decorations, Attica physically took you on a journey and made it fun.

Would wholeheartedly recommend this place!

A 5 star dining experience - emphasis on experience. Attica is not just a meal, it’s a homage to Australian history, culture and ingredients. Each course tells a story through taste. Overall I’d rate the food to be 4/5 because you could go out and load up on a5 wagyu, foie gras and otoro and have a meal that makes you moan while your eyes roll into the back of your head but if you are open to trying something different as an experience Attica is wonderful. Also, if you like old fashioneds their wattleseed old fashioned is fantastic!

The overall experience at Attica was truly wonderful. The highlight for us was the opportunity to enter the kitchen and witness the chefs' craftsmanship, fostering a deeper appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work. As we transitioned to the enchanting outdoor setting, it felt like a journey through time, perhaps due to the carefully curated ambiance or nostalgic decor.

The dishes served were a delight, with a perfect balance that orchestrated a symphony of flavors. From the tantalizing sweetness to the savory richness and subtle bitterness, each bite felt like a carefully choreographed dance for the taste buds. Notable dishes included Tart 3K, sunrise splice and the wandin yallock tomatoes, eggplant and fermented pinapple.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Attica team for turning my partner's birthday into a truly special occasion. From start to finish, the experience was a pleasant gift in itself, and we look forward to returning to create more cherished memories.

11 courses with wine pairing left us in foodie heaven. I have meant to visit and experience this little gem in Melbourne for years.
Overall well done team ATTICA.
Amazing service, especially our friend from NYC. 👌🏽
We loved the little surprise trip to the back pub.
Highlights are the use of many native many ingredients and the 🐊 ribs are yum and fun.
My only con was the overuse of sometimes overpowering finger limes in some of the courses.

A must experience for any dining and food lover. 🕺

Nestled discreetly in Ripponlea, Victoria, Attica presents itself with a modest facade that belies the gastronomic wonder within. My wife and I recently embarked on a 3.5-hour culinary journey at this fine dining establishment, and it turned out to be a feast for the senses.

From the unassuming entrance, we were ushered into an atmosphere of understated elegance. The ambiance spoke volumes of sophistication without overwhelming the senses—a perfect setting for what was about to unfold.

Our taste buds were taken on a rollercoaster ride through 11 courses, each a carefully crafted masterpiece. The culinary wizards at Attica showcased their artistry with a perfect blend of flavors and textures, leaving us in awe with every bite.

One unexpected highlight was a pitstop at a 70's-themed pub during one of the courses. It was a quirky twist that added an immersive touch, transporting us momentarily to a different era. The creativity and innovation demonstrated during this unexpected detour were a testament to the chef's ingenuity.

Attica's attention to detail extended to the presentation of each dish. It wasn't just about the taste; it was a visual spectacle. The dishes were a canvas of colors and arrangements that showcased the chef's dedication to not just cooking but also to the art of dining.

The team at Attica were not just waitstaff; they were knowledgeable guides on our culinary adventure. A special shoutout to a young lady who expertly navigated us through the wine pairings, offering suggestions that enhanced our dining experience.

As we left Attica, we found ourselves already anticipating a return visit. The promise of a fall season menu filled with new flavors and culinary delights is too tempting to resist. Attica isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience that lingers on the palate and in the memory, inviting us to return for more.

Attica delivered a memorable dining experience. While the seating arrangement felt a bit cramped, the friendly and attentive service made up for it. The culinary journey was marked by creative dishes featuring native Australian ingredients. The crocodile dish stood out as our favorite savory delight. Special commendation to the dessert chef; the dessert was nothing short of perfection. However, not every dish hit the mark for us; the smoked emu and lasagna were a bit on the salty side. Overall, Attica offers a unique and creative culinary experience.

We will definitely come back next time we're in Australia!

Of course you know the food is world class, otherwise you would not be searching, and your wallet does too. What we loved was it is very different dishes, the chance to try Australian animals: hot smoked emu, glazed bbq crocodile ribs, mudcrab and ants. We went with a newborn and they were great. Amazing service in a very down to earth ambience. Eat here at least once and if you can once a year.

This was truly a memorable dining experience for us at Attica! The service was exceptional thanks to JP & Sophie! We loved ❤ loved (I had to say that twice!) the food and the presentation. Everything was just top notch.

Incredibly good value fine dining in a hella comfortable, well sound-dampened, unpretentious dining room. I've sat in cold sterile uncomfortable 2 Michelin star joints, Attica is not like those.

The food was excellent. Technically perfect, new inventive.

Highly recommend!!!!!
Have wanted to dine here for a long time, and we finally took the opportunity, and it was certainly worth it. We booked about 2 months out so that we could get a Saturday night which I'm glad we did.

The Food: As you can imagine, scribble was just divine. The meals were planned and executed to perfection, but even better was the explination and story behind each dish. The staff took the time to explain what you were eating, where it came from, why it was chosen, which just escalated each dish. My partner does not eat seafood, and the alternative options were equally impressive and she did not feel as though she was missing out.

The drinks: we did a wine pairing which I'm extremely glad we did. Exceptional pairings with great explanations about the origin or reason behind that selection.

The staff: This is what made the night. It was not only about the food but the experience and the service. The staff absolutely capped off a fantastic dining experience for us.

If you are someone who loves the whole dining experience this is the place to go, if you can find a reservation. Attica has everything. Great flavours, great service, great ambience. I didn't even know that finger limes could be tasted in so many combinations until they put it out in front of me in every third course. Open the door and come inside to culinary heaven. I could describe each dish that was put out but you need to experience it for yourself. You have to dine here for the whole experience and not just the taste. Savour!

We had a truly absolutely exceptional dining experience last night! The food was absolutely incredible, and the drinks perfectly paired. The atmosphere was so warm, well thought out and inviting, and we loved our visit to the “Attica pub”. The service was wonderful, and all the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Can’t wait to come back!
