Urumqi Uyghur Cuisine

I went yesterday for my birthday lunch. The food was scrumptious and different in taste. I would like to only recommend that please add a little bit more chicken to the noodles.

Amazing food.. everything we ordered was mouth watering. There is a wait for table and the food though so always make sure you book a table. The wait is worth it though.

Great food, amazed at how flavourful the lamb chops were - nice cumin spice rub with crispy bits. The chicken kebabs were so soft! The grill master is obviously an expert. The noodles, vegetable dishes were also good. Fried rice was ok.

Service is bearable, I suggest ordering everything at once.. we have a had wait for ~20 minutes because we didn't. The restaurant was full to be fair. Also, they just bring the food based on whatever gets ready first - so of you are in a group, some people end up waiting.

Overall great experience, amazing food. Will definitely come back on my next trip.

The ambience is probably left over from a cafe or something that was here before Urumqi...

Won't comment on the price, I have no idea if it's reasonable.

Go for the lamb skewers with spicy oil. They have a unique flavour, which is different from Turkish~Lebanese~Greek style ones. Go there when it’s not too busy, lunch time. Bit pricy but worth the unique experience. Where-else you would find Uyghur in the world!

Wow what an amazing first experience with Uyghur food - everything about it was so delicious. The lamb and chicken kebabs were so tender and flavourful with the charcoal. The eggplant was so garlicky and perhaps the best meal was the chicken and potato noodle - this was the most satisfying and perfect bowl of noodles I’ve ever had, the noodle bouncy and chewy soaking in the delicious chilli sauce along with the potatoes and well seasoned chicken - match made in heaven!

I visited yesterday and the food was AMAZING! Huge quantities, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious! The chicken skewers were so moist, the meat just fell off the skewer. And the spicy noodles were perfect consistency. Will definitely be back soon!

Forget all the bad review you read, come and enjoy the food, you wouldnt regret it. The food is amazing and huge, and the customer service? Dont ask, its one of the best in Adelaide. I know sometimes wait in line for long and waiting for food also takes time but what you expect when you visit a busy restaurant. I love it, i will coming back and try other food.

Cool place, if you are a meat lover, then definitely worth a visit. Here, meat is cooked on coals and gives the taste of nature. We often dine here with employees, take different dishes and always remain satisfied

Amazing food. I’ve been here twice now and enjoyed both times. Lamb kebabs are amazing and so are the handmade noodles. Very reasonably priced, share style food that’s great for dining in big groups. Would highly recommend.

Their foods are incredibly delicious and tasty. All foods are halal for Muslims. I love their skewers most. Only problem is their service is little slow and they don’t take any reservation, so please go with enough time for enjoy your food.

Walked past this place a few times a decided to try it out for dinner. It seems to be a very popular location so I would highly recommend booking a reservation. The staff was very accommodating. The menu is quite wide with so many amazing options at very good prices. The lagman is a must try- very authentic and reminded me of my childhood. The salads and the dumplings pair very well with the mains as they’re light and refreshing helping break through the heaviness of the main dish. If you’re looking for some authentic Uyghur food at a decent price I highly recommend this place. Also I’m pretty sure the dishes are all made fresh to order as they took a bit to come out but the food is so totally worth waiting for 😌👌🏻

Been to this restaurant for the first time. Food was sooooo delicious. Especially their noodles which are home made were so yummy. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back again and again 👍👍👍

The store is located at the end of Chinatown. A pretty spacious store and has outside seating.

The service is quite good as they're really nice.

The serving size is really big and worth the money. The food tastes really good and just the amount of spice that you want. Order lesser than you think you need.

Delicious east turkestani food! The spicy fried lamb noodles are so so good. The lamb kebabs are grilled to perfection with desirable amount of fat and meat. Staff is nice, service is quick when not too busy. I highly recommend dining here. Street parking is available nearby - free and paid.

Amazing food! Definately 5 stars. The skewers were great but all other dishes were delicious too. Definately worth going back to.
The only downside was how long it took for each different dish to come out and be served.
There were 7 of us and we didn't have a booking, but we got a table straight away luckily.
Other people that came after us had to wait for a table for over 45mins.
Being Boxing Day, when most other restaurants were closed, probably also had a part to play in the wait.
Overall a good place to eat especially if you have never tried Uyghur cuisine.

Food is tasty and different to anything else you find on gouger.
The lamb and fried bread is a game changer.
If you don’t like chili this place is not for you!

OK it's a place you go eat, alone or as a group, with no bells or whistles. Food is halal, delicious and spicy too. I liked the BBQ.. The place is always busy, so food is fresh.

I always order the same dish whenever I eat Uyghurs 's cuisine which is the Dapanji. Very tasty! As spicy as I like it. The gentleman doing the skewers intrigued me the most as he was the first thing that I see from outside. He is constantly smiling and inviting people in despite being busy. The female cashier is very pretty and helpful in explaining how to eat my noodle as it was packed. Definitely would come back to eat here again!
