I discovered this place while going for my walk.
Flatiron is such a great local wine bar ..... glad something like this has finally opened up in Kew.
It has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The Flatiron store is lovely - the clothes are beautiful and the overall merchandise is very well curated. I had a disappointing customer experience at the store on Saturday (during their warehouse sale) from one of the sales assistants. Disappointingly, I think she is one of the owners/designers.
I arrived at 1pm, there were maybe 4 other customers. They were all white customers, I am not. This sales assistant greeted every other customer and offered them help except me. When I needed help with pants sizing, she ignored me. Luckily I was helped by another sales assistant who was lovely and very helpful. While I was in the fitting room, she swung open the curtain while I was getting changed without asking if anyone was in there.

Honestly, it was a terrible experience. I bought two pants which I now regret, especially after realising I was so poorly treated by the business owner.

I thought I’d write this review for any people of colour considering shopping here; you may not get the nicest of experiences which may make a bad day worse and in 2023, isn’t acceptable.
