Roti Boti

We just love it here. It's probably the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to, and we've been to many cities around the world and even in India. The service is top notch. The owners are so warm, welcoming and have incredible memories. You can order for a table of four or more and they don't write anything down; they remember it all, and even if you've been only once before and go again a few months later, they recall what you had to eat. They offer great suggestions if you have particular preferences and they're so knowledgeable about their ingredients and such.
The food is beautiful and delicious; never had a bad meal. They're very accommodating if you're wanting something made mild, and it's one of the very nicest Butter Chickens I've ever had.
I cannot recommend Roti Boti highly enough. You should definitely book if you want a table, but you should absolutely try it at least once ... You will be hooked.

Hands down best Indian restaurant our family has ever been to. Every single dish was excellent. The staff were amazing. The ambience was perfect. And the owner so lovely, knowledgeable and attentive. Our new favourite for Indian food! 10/10

Very good Indian restaurant with housemade northern Indian cuisine.
Beautiful indoor decoration and design.
The staff is super helpful and friendly.
The lamb Korma and Madras were very tasty and delicious as well as samousas.
On the other side, the mangoe chutney was not good.
Around 50 indoor seats and two tables outdoor.
This restaurant has won lots awards in hospitality and featured among the 44 best Indian restaurant atound the world.

Best Indian Restaurant in this area. The owners are very welcoming, service is flawless. Generous portions, authentic food, and very tasty! This is our go-to restaurant now.

Fantastic food! It was very fresh and flavorful. We could tell it was just made for us. Moreover, the owner have the detailed knowledge of the recipe, ingredients and special recommendations too.
Must try kastoori chicken, Tandoori Paneer, Hara bhare kabab for entree it’s just yum & Don’t forget to order Rara Goat Curry, Black Pepper Chiken and Achaari Paneer with Wholemeal Roti or Garlic Naan for the Mains. You can have trio of dessert which have Mango, Pista & Gulab Jamun Yum!
Incredible Food, Service , Atmosphere

Excellent! There were 5 of us on a busy night, so we opted for the banquet. All of the dishes were delicious. In some places, banquets often contain one or two less well-prepared dishes - not at Roti Boti! The surprise standout was the fish curry, which was light and tasty. We ate our fill (and then a little bit more because it was so good) and still had leftovers to take home.
The other good surprise of the night was the green mango cocktail. I was expecting a sweet, creamy style drink and instead got a refreshing, savoury, spicy cocktail with a very distinctive but more-ish flavour. So good.
The service was personal, friendly, and very helpful, which is a Roti Boti constant.

Thank you for an amazing experience. Such a warm welcome and top notch service but the food was on another level. We’ve eaten our fair share of Indian cuisine and this is up there with the best of them. Can’t wait to come back. This will now be our Indian restaurant of choice.

Roti Boti is without doubt the best Indian I have had and its as much to do with the service as it is the food. Having worked in hospitality for 15 years around the world I can hand on heart say I have never experienced this level if service anywhere else. The Chat starter is an absolute must :-) You will not be dissapointed.

Probably the third time I have eaten at Roti Boti and this experience was by far the best.

We had a mix of meat and vegetarian dishes, platters and bread and each one was perfectly cooked, balanced with flavours and individual spices popped out at you.

Great value, excellent staff and host. Rejuvenated my faith in Indian restaurants in Melbourne, I shall return!

There's barely a bad thing I can say about Roti Boti. It's consistently good food, the service is pretty much impeccable and I keep coming back often, because it's just great Indian food.

I don't tend to have the most adventurous palate out there, so when it comes to Indian food, I'm usually a Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and rice kinda girl. But at Roti Boti, they do a STUNNING Mango Chicken, the likes of which I haven't tasted elsewhere. I'm not normally into savoury and sweet, but this works well. Their Butter Chicken is equally as good, and their Naan full of enough garlic to get you in trouble with your family, friends and coworkers for a good half week or so. If I get an entree too, I'll opt for their delicious Samosas and they're some of the best I've had anywhere.

99% of the time, the service is impeccable and spot on. The owner gets to know you even after one visit and could almost recite the order you placed your previous visit without error. He has the most amazing memory. It's a family run business and they pay attention to detail and always make you feel welcome. The only minimal downside is when they're doing persistent take away orders, and therefore your meal is delayed and delayed ... however ... if that's the only fault a restaurant has, it says a lot, and the food is worth the wait. It is quite dark inside, so be sure to have your battery on high for your phone if you use the torch app to read menus. But once you've ordered, be prepared for one of the best Indian meals around. Roti Boti is hard to beat.

Once again we had a wonderful experience at Roti Boti last night. The food is amazing , especially the butter chicken which melts in your mouth. The personalized service we received from both the owners and staff was second to none. We love it and we'll be back.

My partner and I booked a last minute date night last weekend and thought we'd try this place as we live just down the road and had never been. Turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in a long time! The service was super professional and they made it feel very special. It was a fairly busy night and the atmosphere was great. We ordered the banquet and the food was delicious and very generous. We also BYO'd a bottle of wine. Will definitely be back.

It is one of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Used to frequent years ago but been there recently after 7 years and their food and service has improved tremendously. We had all vegetarian fare and could not fault a thing. Taste lingered for several days. Our attender was well presented, very polished, and explained each dish, provided recommendations, checked on us frequently, and took very good care. Service was quick, and taste was by far unbeatable. We had stuffed mushroom, dahi kebab, shahi paneer, methi mutter malai, and a few bread/naan varieties and drinks to go. Rose kulfi for dessert was slightly underwhelming, but v didn't mind, given everything else was fabulous. Reasonably priced.

Roti Boti is locked into our dining out rotation.
The staff and hosts are simply lovely people and the food is authentically delicious.
Atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a quality, rarely not busy restaurant - full of people and conversation but not overwhelmingly noisy.
Works for intimate couples (that's us), families and larger groups.
Get on it.

Really nice experience! The only true passionate people who was open on Sunday night.
After a refreshing dip on the hottest day ever (38 dg at 9pm) everything was shut down.

Then Roti Boti saved us, and Navjot attended us like Indian gods and feed our chakras with methi malai and love!

My favourite Bayside Indian restaurant. Always such a good vibe, great family run business, and also BYOW. It has a lot of atmosphere and great food. Even though we live nearby, we come here when we want the night to feel eventful but nothing too crazy.

It is the best Indian in Australia, and unlike other Indian restaurants they put enough meat in the curry. Keep up the great work

The food is the best of the Indian restaurants across Bay st, Church st and Hampton St. However that is not why I come here. The service is why, it is impeccable. Staff who genuinely want to help you have a great evening. If you want a lovely dinner then don’t go past Roti Boti!!

Always wonderful food, service and the ambience and energy are excellent. We are always made to feel welcome when we come here. Good selection of wines and other drinks. Very reasonably priced. Top value for money.
