This was my third time at Vinh Dat and I can confirm that it’s consistently great.

The owners are very lovely and very helpful.

The food is delicious and extremely cheap.

I’ve had a few different dishes from the menu and everything has always been great, so feel free to order whatever — it won’t disappoint.

Note that, same as most places in Springvale, this restaurant is cash only.

The Wah Tan Hor (Fried Rice Noodles served in egg gravy) is probably the best in Melbourne so far, compared to most Malaysian restaurants. And it is not even cooked by Malaysian but Vietnamese

The roast duck here is one of the best in these parts, beautifully flavoured and with crispy skin. It is also very reasonably priced.

Heard of Vinh Dat through a friend who said they did really good Char Kway Teow. I've tried the noodles all from a lot of places in eastern Melbourne and Vinh Dat definitely rates in the top 5. So much flavour with the right meat/noodle ratio makes it hard to give it a miss everytime I go past it.

When you order it, the menu doesn't really give you a choice as to which meat so be sure to be specific when you order it. If you're not too fussy, the standard order of Char Kway Teow will be the noodles with a combination of meats, prawns and squid. At the time, the dish cost $11.50 for a very generous size.

Probably the best roast/bbq in Springvale. The meats isn't too fatty or too dry and keeps well even after a few days. I don't bother getting my roast from anywhere else these days.

The 滑蛋河so delicious, the taste is similar Malaysia style, roast duck also awesome!

Great to see they are open during lockdown. Grabbed 1/2 a Duck on the way home, and it was super tasty and tender. Haven't tried any other dishes yet.
