The Real Jerk Food Truck

Last night I went to the Soul Night Market in Brighton and tried the Light Jerk at the Real Jerk Food Truck and had my socks blown off by the sensational tast of Jerk Chicken. After that meal, I went around the other food trucks there and found that I had completely lost interest in them and just wanted more of that jerk chicken tastes of char and flavourbomb sauces! I then had a burger from there, Jerk between the bun, wow, another bullseye! I then had a try of their version of fried chicken, damn, another hit!!! A light crunch of tempura-like batter coating a succulent juicy tender jerk chicken breast.

The Real Jerk are THE REAL DEAL! A clear standout amongst the food trucks there, in fact the best meal(s) I've had from a food truck in years!

Stopped by this food truck yesterday and was absolutely blown away by their Jamaican jerk chicken! The authentic flavors brought joy with every bite. It’s rare to find such genuine and perfectly seasoned Caribbean cuisine on wheels. A must try for anyone craving a taste of the islands. Fantastic job by the team !

We saw their food truck at a market and my husband brought one of the dish to try. I’m so glad he did because this dish is AMAZING!!! The chicken was so tender, juicy and full of flavour. The chips, slaw and sauce all went so well with the chicken. I’m salivating just thinking about it and I can’t wait to try it again! 🤤🤤🤤

absolutely delicious burgers! the jamaican jerk chicken so well seasoned and infused in the jaimaican jerk spice rub! the chickens remain all the moisture and juicyness!

it might be a tad hard to locate this spot as it doesn't stand out.. you will see a black food truck outside - this is the spot!

Chicken was delicious - not dry and perfectly cooked. Slaw was also delicious. Seasoning was awesome. Sizing was great! Super friendly service.

Thumbs-up to this food truck (owned by Boss Man Food Company) that serves Caribbean food and their Jerk Chicken, as they say, is out of this world and the coconut slaw salad goes really well with rice and chicken.

They are back finally, the food here is amazing, the big load is a must to get.

This is by far the best Caribbean food I’ve tasted!! The chicken is tender and has the perfect amount of spice, the rice and beans are fresh and the portion size is very generous for what it cost.

To be honest, this is the only Melbourne food truck I am willing to follow on Instagram, just so I don’t miss out when they are in the area…

Hands down the best jerk chicken I've ever had in my life (with a caveat that I've never actually been to Jamaica) but the smokiness, tenderness and mouthwatering flavour of the chicken is just absorbed so well by that perfectly seasoned rice.

The chicken was so juicy! Great portions. We ordered the Big Load, came with two pieces of fried chicken and a few once jerked chicken. The slaw went really well with the meal as well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic food great staff all staff are very friendly they always ask for feedback which is good. they gave me a free chips with my lunch today. They didn’t have to as everything was amazing. But such a nice gesture. Thanks guys keep up the great work I’ll be back definitely.

The chicken and rice is great. Plantain is great too. I haven't tried the fish but I look forward to trying it.

Love the all the food there. Tried most of the menu. The chicken was the best, Maggie gave me the best food suggestions.

The food is beautiful, but portions of meat are small so order extra! Would be ideal if you could order meat and rice separately

The bao is amazing, especially the pulled beef brisket one. MUST TRY. Highly recommend. I will try other things probably tomorrow.
