Deep fruity chocolate coffee. Perfectly stretched milk. Grabbing a coffee from the Royal Arcade (the history, decor, high ceilings....it just feels relaxing). Great start to the day.
The barista/owner has an intensity while he is making coffee. So you know he is a perfectionist and his roasting and coffee making will also be good.

Obsessed with the matcha with a shot of espresso, it’s so smooth! Best one I’ve tried. I get takeaways often but I sat in recently and they did really cool latte art. This is a hole in the wall little hidden gem!

The second day of 2024. After finishing my morning yoga, with plenty of time to spare, I took a stroll to grab a coffee.

The Royal Arcade in the morning is incredibly peaceful, filled with a subtle aroma of coffee, creating a serene atmosphere. I found this small coffee shop with a charming spiral staircase, adjacent to a bakery displaying colorful croissants and bread.

Sipping a cup of coffee slowly, it feels like Melbourne's unique tranquility, as if time has decided to take a leisurely pace.

Don’t expect Miguel to break a smile 😊 Instead get ready for one of the best coffee brews in Melbourne. My large slim latte was very much on the strong Italian flavour and bouquet. The following ristretto was impeccable. If all the esoteric shops around Kit Espresso get you off with the fairies, come down to earth with Miguel’s pristine coffees.

Kit Espresso at Block Arcade impresses with its great coffee and skillful craftsmanship. The baristas expertly brew each cup, resulting in a flavorful experience. Located in the culturally rich Block Arcade, it offers a delightful combination of exceptional coffee and a vibrant arcade ambiance.

Kit Espresso is a cozy coffee bar in the Royal Arcade. Just a couple of tables, which suits the intimate setting perfectly. Pick a blend yourself or have one picked for you, you’re sure to enjoy it. I had an espresso. Dirk and I enjoyed a chat with the owner and barista, we even had the opportunity to learn about coffee which was truly fantastic. I knocked back another espresso, feeling pretty darn good. Dirk said that it was the best coffee he has had in Melbourne and that is saying a lot because he has now had over 5000 of them! We had some good laughs and I knocked back another espresso to make it three shots of coffee in 10 minutes. My body was violently shaking at this point and I felt like I could kick down a house, it was amazing. I said thank you to the owner and quickly exited the store hahaha feels good man make sure you check out Kit whenever you’re in the city haha

One of the nicest places around for coffee. Miguel is super sweet and makes coffee with so much care. Definitely my regular spot. He knows how to make coffee depending on what you need or feel like. He makes the best creamy coffee, all the way up to anything bitter or strong. Would highly recommend giving it a go. He also does take away past the time most coffee places are closed in the city.

Brought to this lovely little place by a friend working at The Royal Arcade and was impressed by the coffee. Ordered a cup of cappuccino, it was so fragrant and tasteful that I kept hanging on to it until the very last drop. I can tell that the owner, Miguel, puts his every heart and soul into it. He also does special blends to take home and the menu in the cafe is quite varied. So worth the visit, and will come by every time I am in Melbourne.

I had just passed through here several times as there were busy. Finally dropped in last week. I had a latte which was good. It is a small cafe and located in the
Royal arcade. Nice atmosphere.

High quality coffee and Miguel is definitely a 9T barista, l always look forward to sipping on a latte and enjoying the atmosphere and conversation since 2020 Melbournes finest.

Beautiful coffee of all different varieties, lovely staff serving us just after closing too!!

Well done to the barista. Was silky, velvet finish, soft tones of chocolate. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And good to see banana bread at a respectable price. $3.5! Legends, sick of businesses rinsing the public charging $5-6 well done guys.

This is a great coffee shop, a small but cool place. The staff is really nice. Coffees are good, but what I highly recommend is the matcha (with oat milk)! best matcha in Melbourne CBD.

One of the best espressos I had to date. Miguel, the owner, likes to chat about the different coffees he offers and his brewing techniques. A truly unique place no espresso lover should miss when visiting Melbourne.
