Springvale Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Loved that it wasn't very muddy with slight rain the day before. Always been just us every time we went. Wish there were more of these fully fenced parks around Melbourne.

Such a huge place!!! And lovely people and their fur-babies visiting the park. Great place!!

Nice dog park with water and plenty of space to run, wasn't very busy.

Simple yet spacious secure space for your dogs. There are two entrances, one off of Harris Street, the other from the carpark of the reserve. It is a basic but well looked after dog park that provides a large open area for your dogs to be off leash.

Parents toilet cell open 24 hours.

Council has always been quick to fix issues (e.g. can't tip out the water because there is too much dirt/debris underneath it) if you report it via snapsendsolve.

Unfortunately, I no longer feel comfortable going to this park as my dog was attacked by a GSD there (luckily his wounds healed well but he's a little traumatised with larger dogs now). If you can't control your dog or your dog isn't able to recall, perhaps bringing them into a dog park unleashed where there will be other dogs isn't the most ideal. No fault of the council here but this experience means I no longer go here.

Leaving this review as a warning to other visitors who are thinking of coming to this dog park. Please be vigilant and know how to protect your dog if they are attacked by another dog.

Venue is superb thats on the ground

Not sure how it has gotten the great reviews that it has, maybe it just hasn’t been maintained but I was excited to learn there was a dog park 400mts from where I am temporarily staying, but was disappointed on arrival to see it half gated with temp fencing, no dog litter bags, a very tiny water bowl built into ground so cannot empty for fresh water, members of the public using it as a short cut thru the reserve with no mindfulness to close the gate behind them, leaving them unsecured and swinging and other people with pets seeming to prefer to walk their dogs outside the perimeter of the dog park and around the sports oval instead of utilising the purpose built area. Also there was No dog play equipment or anything designed to be at all entertaining plus no other dogs between 6:40 and 7:40pm on a weekday which I would think to be a busy time slot after dinner- my fur baby who usually refuses to leave was bored within 5 mins. Park had a huge area of dirt that looked like there was possibly a fire previously, nothing like the lush grass in other pictures. Was pretty barren and the trees barely surviving let alone offering shade in warmer weather
