If Epocha Carlton was a person, I'd stand to clap as they walked in the room! The interior setting makes you feel special, the staff are like family and "f" me the food is good!

The menu is like a storybook of delicious tales, and the duck main... Well, let's just say it was quacking good.

Treat yo self and get the potatoes to mop up the jus.

Even though the menu wasn't extensive (especially for the mains), however, the service was amazing! We had a wonderful time celebrating my 2 year olds birthday where they make her feel extra special. They provided candles on the complimentary ice creams & took a million photos for us without hesitation. They even did everything they could to make my daughter smile. I don't think the celebration would be as good at another location. Thank you Epocha!

Worth every cent, my Wife and I celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary at Epacho and it was genuinely one of the best restaurants we have been to.
The food was amazing, and the sommelier paired the the perfect wine with the perfect dish.
The 3 course menu was perfect and allowed us to enjoy different flavours without the stress of going through pages and pages of menus.
I recommend definitely getting the 3 course meal apackage, the duck was wow. Oh ask for their bread you won't regret it. Great view on a perfect Melbourne evening.

Will definitely be returning. Well done.

Setting: Good temperature and comfortable seats which I was worried would be too hard. Lighting at night was a bit too dim for our liking. I liked how the toilets had a foot pedal to open from the inside.

Noise level: Quiet, soft music, easy conversation

Service: Excellent, we had a movie after the dinner and mentioned it when we realised we were behind on schedule. Once they knew, they were able to serve our meals and get us outside the door timely with takeaway tiramisu as we didn't have time to finish it!

This little hidden gem is an ideal place to host a small reception for elopements and micro weddings in Melbourne. It is a short walk from the Treasury Building in Spring St so it is a great combination with the Carlton Gardens in between (across the road actually) for your photo session. The ceremony space is nice and intimate for 20-30 people with a balcony to overlook the gardens and the north-west end of the city. The food is very is very fancy and the staff attentive.
Note, not many street parks available so it is recommended to park at the Museum.

A brilliant dining experience. Thrilled to finally have dined here as the food, service, wine list and atmosphere were on point. For a milestone birthday, special anniversary or just because life is too short, experience Epocha.

I hosted a 40th birthday party lunch for my partner here. The upstairs room was so perfect for our occasion - acoustically treated so the high ceilings were not creating an echo chamber - a sumptuous set menu of seasonal dishes. The kids menu was a 'chicken and chips' that was a sneaky roast chicken with delicious baked potatoes. We brought our own cake, and we were given all the support we needed to make it work. The staff were present but didn't hover, our children were given enough free space to enjoy their rowdy little selves and while I wouldn't say it was designed for kids, it was 'kid friendly' with a wonderful space on the balcony where we could set up a colouring table and some 'brain break' videos for them to play with while we got to have some adult conversations. The space is breezy, up in the canopy of the trees overlooking the park. Elegant but unfussy. What a gem. We lingered till almost 4pm, it was so accommodating and relaxing. And can I also say, while it was not 'cheap' it was a bargain for what we got. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing, the duck fat potatoes were amazing but was a big portions, 5 of us couldn’t finish 2 of it.

The venue is so pretty and overlooks the park, the service/staff were lovely and we had a laugh with them. The wine was great and the Sunday Roast was so good - especially the bread and duck fat potatoes!! I’ll definitely go back for it. Only complaint is the website mentions the Sunday roast comes with pasta but it doesn’t - might want to update it :)

Amazing dining experience absolutely loved every dish we had. And the service was phenomenal!!!

The stand outs Watermelon tartare the texture was just like tuna and all the flavors incredible.

Soft egg, parmesan, pomegranate, asparagus, broadbeans. So good and pretty.

Skull island prawn, garlic butter, herbs were also amazing!

Couldn’t not fault anything. Highly recommend I will be back!

Super tasty food in an elegant setting. Everything on the menu is finger lickingly tasty.
We were 3 adults and ordered the 4 course menu. The amount of food was more than enough and we could not finish everything.

So thrilled I chose Epocha for my 60th birthday lunch. The booking process was easy, and every request was taken care of. We started with drinks in the front garden which was such a beautiful way to gather before heading inside. Sarah looked after us, we all loved her, so professional. Everyone raved about the food, which was plentiful and well presented. We had dessert and more drinks out in the front garden, again it was perfect. Cannot fault the wait staff, the food, ambience of the room, quite honestly the perfect day. Thank you all at Epocha for a wonderful time.

Lovely experience at Epocha, absolutely relaxing atmosphere with no rush at any point with friendly and accommodating service team. Located next it Carlton Gardens with views of the trees.

The 3 course menu, was started with a delicious amuse bouche, my partner is vegetarian and that was catered for without compromise. It was so reassuring being able to just sit and wait for the amazing food to appear without scouring a menu for the right dish. Every dish was perfect, and was suitably filled by each course.

Highly recommend for a special night out with your partner or close friends.

Epocha has been our go to from day 1 arriving into Melbourne 4 years ago. Ange and the team consistently deliver not only the best most tasty food but also the feeling of family and home where nothing is a too much to ask. 😌 Have never left here without a foodgasm and will never forget how Epocha took care of us and kept us sane through the many ups and downs of Covid Melbourne life. If you haven’t been to Epocha yet you have missed out, but there’s still time so just get on with it and you can thank me later. 🙂

Relaxed yet sophisticated restaurant. Service was excellent, non-intrusive, friendly but knowledgeable. Food quality was of a high standard. The variety and quality of French and European cheeses were a particular standout. Highly recommended.cheese

Awesome setting with fantastic service. The food was full of flavour and portion size was very generous, you will definitely leave feeling full and satisfied. Little tip is to do 2 X 3 courses and share, that way you will get to taste a lot of the menu and enjoy good sized servings. The wine list was spot on and I absolutely recommend the Heathcote Shiraz, it's a 2005 and has flavour. Highly recommended, it feels like you're a guest in a home which is a great feeling.

Epocha represents Melbourne . Amazing new creations from the Chef and such quality and warm service from the team.. oh and a damn fine winelist ! Thank you once again for a fabolous experience .

Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!!

The ambience, the service, the food, the wine...everything was super perfect. I was here on a date and Epocha did not disappoint me at all. All of the dishes were well-presented and appetizing. The wagyu steak was ridiculously tender, whereas the pasta was simply out of this world.

The restaurant only serves set menu at $80 pp. I ended up paying $260 for two. But I guarantee, it was all worth it!
