Embarked on a delightful evening at Curious Bar situated in W Hotel with our group. The drinks were expertly crafted, complementing the lively atmosphere perfectly. However, we noticed a minor disruption with the staff's frequent visits to our table to inquire about cleaning. While we value their dedication to maintaining cleanliness, a more discreet approach would have been preferable. Nonetheless, our overall experience at Curious Bar was enjoyable, and we anticipate returning in the future.

I had the pleasure of visiting Curious for the second time, it exceeded all expectations. Hamish and his team went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The atmosphere at Curious is another highlight. The cozy yet stylish venue provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The ambiance is inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. Thank you for looking after us and looking forward to my next visit.

Loved the design and atmosphere. Was blown away the moment we entered. Place was indeed a little tricky to find, as website did not indicate that it was within W Hotel (or maybe I missed that out). Angelo served our table mostly and he was really friendly and knowledgeable about the cocktails, and was able to give really good recommendations. It was a really enjoyable time there. Best to go on a weekday (Wednesday/Thursday with live DJ). We had five cocktails, a mocktail and truffle salt chips and cost us ~$150

The place is stunning! The service was top-notch, especially a guy who helped us with our wine and food choices. Sadly, we didn't get his name. When a third friend joined us, they gave us a bigger table! In general, it was an amazing experience! This is definitely a must-visit when you come to Melbourne.

Too curious to be curious 🧐

Got a chance to visit Curious last night with a friend of mine. The vibes are definitely on point and the music is pretty good with the live DJ.

I ordered the too right it's Toorak and Glinda cocktails to go. I wasn't a huge fan of the first one as it was real sticky to hold. Except Glinda was real nice and refreshing so it definitely saved my perception of the cocktails.

The service was really good and definitely would rate this as a good venue to go for a more classy pre drink or after dinner drinks venue.

What a beautiful place! Little tricky to find, but worth it! Service is a-one, everyone is warm and welcoming. They pay attention. We just went for a few drinks. Cocktails were well presented. Food was good as well, love it when I can find good veg options. Highly recommend for a date night or just a fun night out.

While staying at W, we ventured down to Curious several times for a drink. This place is beautiful architecturally. We were treated very well by all staff every time - even when busy. The drinks are superb! Highly recommend the cocktail From OConnell to Acland - I had it 3 times over the course of our stay and now I'm going to be craving biscotti foam!!!

$15 cocktails at 3pm & a late lunch for 2 people for $35! The food is amazing! Great service & atmosphere too. Must do in Melbourne

Warning, friendly staff. Fun, delicious food. Great atmosphere and decor! The new bar tender was so patient and accommodating to work with my to order a custom mocktail as I don't drink, nor do I enjoy the flavour of alcohol (so the options of non alcoholic spirits does not suit). And the mocktails were amazing! Highly recommend! Very relaxed but you can still feel fancy :)

In my humble opinion, this holds the spot for the most beautiful bar in Melbourne. The interior of this space feels like you've been transported into a tesseract.

Aside of the amazing interior the bar does have an excellent choice cocktails, beers, wines and food. Word of warning, it will be on the pricey side but, the experience will be worth it.

This place is visually appealing, Beautiful architecture inside and great mood lighting. We had cocktails and some bar menu items - The food was delicious, Everything was fresh and came out at a quick pace. The waiter was attentive and insightful about the food menu and drinks. He had amazing knowledge of oysters! He gave a great recommendation which we ordered. Cant wait to come back!

Amazing, moody, classy and modern. The drinks menu is sublime, the mixologists were so kind and the food was very nice. Definitely now one of my top 5 bars in the Melbourne CBD

Trust me. I've been to a few bars in my time, and Curious is in my top 1 or 2. From the location, to the architecture, to the customer service, this bar is amazing.

As everyone else has talked about, the interior is gorgeous.
A work of art, it definitely carves itself out and takes advantage of being in the basement floor. With no natural light, you definitely feel like you're in another world. The furniture is heavy duty, weighted, and plush couches makes you feel like you're sitting in luxury.

The cocktail was wonderful. I asked for something sweet, and was recommended the Glinda. It's the first cocktail that somehow managed to "grow" on me, and I increasingly grew to like to more with every sip. Definitely coming back to see what else is on offer!

You'll need to be quite organised to come to Curious. They take bookings through their website so walk-ins don't seem to be encouraged. Worth it though, if you're able to plan for it!

Incredible decor. The cocktails were great and very interesting, as were the snacks we had, especially the olives. The staff are lovely. DJ was also excellent. Will definitely be back.

We also attended the record event held by Curious and Gospel in the W and it was such a fun night. Really impressed at how attentive and creative all of the staff were. They designed a unique and fabulous event. We had the best time!!

Such a friendly and welcoming place for a pre-dinner drink. The atmosphere and internal design of this place is jaw dropping and it is really relaxing. Great vibe and would love to visit again when back in Melbourne.

Name speaks for itself. Tucked away in a basement and you wouldn’t know where it is instantly because of a facade of clocks. Ambiance was perfect, may it be for a simple catch up with friends or an after-office drinks with colleagues. I have already recommended this place to everyone I know. 👌🏼

They have a wide variety of drinks but since we were in a whine and wine session, we went for the wine instead of the cocktails they are more known for. Food was nice and serving was right for the price.

Apparently, booking was only for 1.5hrs. Nonetheless, we were able to extend twice.
Can’t wait to be back!

Coming out of a recent long lockdown we manage to find an available booking at Curious to celebrate and head out for the night and was it worth it?? Yes it was ! Drinks ordered: smoke on the runway, expresso martini, hosier lane (set to share). Service was efficient and very welcoming upon arriving at entry! A very cosy well designed layout great to take a few snaps. What an experience!
