Invite: This is the second time I have been here and both time have been consistently good. The Japchae was my highlight with great flavours and textures. My daughter loved making her own rice balls and the korean stew with beef ribs was amazing. The meat was tender and there was plenty of extras like tteokbokki, veggies and you can even add cheese to it! Loved the little side dishes that came with the meal as well.
Would recommend 👍

Delicious amazing quality Korean food! Masizzim offers both traditional, street food and fusion twists to their Korean dishes that were consistently all made fresh & hot to order. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, including the side dishes!
Kimchi cheese pancake (5/5): super cheesy yet the pancake still had that crispy crust. Super flavourful, and the cheese balanced out the sourness from the kimchi.

Tuna rice bowl (4.5/5): cannot go wrong with this. Fun and delicious concept. They had mayo underneath which was so fatty and blended all elements together well.

Japchae with braised beef (4.75/5): was very surprised by this dish. So warm, hearty and flavourful. If you could smell the aroma, you would die. Meat was the highlight, with the beef braised so perfectly, falling off the bone and melting right in the mouth.

Food: 4.8/5
Value: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 4/5

We dined in last week for dinner and decided to try out their new menu items.

The army stew was packed with spam, sausages, kimchi and noodles. We loved the stew!! The kimchi pancake was crispy and paired so perfectly with the sauce & pickled onions. The japchae was another goodie, we added meat and it was really yummy. The bingsu was so refreshing with honeydew pieces and I love the boba to give it texture.

The deep fried chicken is probably the best I’ve ever had! Very juicy and the flavour is awesome! The only downside is that come with bones, please consider to add a boneless option! The bibimbap is perfect! The mango bingsu is great but it can be better if you use fresh mangos. Will definitely come back for the chicken! Also every staff are super friendly!

Absolutely loved this place. Really interesting Korean food that I hadn’t tried before. We had stew, dumplings, fried rice, fried chicken. Loved it all. And the desserts - wow! We got the small serve of each flavour and share 3 between 6 of us. The whole night was topped off when we couldn’t believe what a great price for dinner. We all want to come back again. Great place to come just for a dessert.

It's a nice place to go for Korean food, they have plenty of options and I found quite accommodating of the dietary needs of some of my family members. I would recommend the stew and also the fried chicken as the go to things to eat. The noodles were also very nice and you always get different side dishes everytime you go which makes it a nice surprise when you go to eat or get takeaway. The atmosphere of the place is also very nice as well, quite spacious and relaxed.

The beef stew was super delicious with udon noodles, however we ordered level 1 spice which should be mild and the spice level was definitely way above that. I’m pretty good at handling spicy foods but damn I was dying 💀 maybe they made a mistake and added too much chilli? I also ordered the melon bingsu which was very tasty and not too sweet, the serving size for the small was just perfect for two people. Will definitely come back again!

This spot is a wonderful new addition to the Glen dining precinct. The space is large, staff are incredibly friendly and fitout is a cool mix of traditional and contemporary. The menu is not as vegetarian friendly as other Korean places I've been to, but willing to accommodate. There are also a select few veggie options on the menu including the cheesy egg roll, which is light and beautifully layered, as well as the silky steamed egg pot. The fried vegetable mandu make a nice shared starter and the cheesy jeon (minus the beef) is another incredible, comforting option. The staff were also kind enough to make me a vegetarian bibimbap made with purple rice, a nice stand-in for white. The bingsu (Korean shaved ice) are an absolute highlight of the menu. The sweet mango option is studded with chunks of cheesecake, and is perfectly sweet and creamy without being too rich. I recommend you get a few spoons and share.

Absolutely loved dining at Masizzim, it's a great addition to The Glen dining precinct with a beautiful and modern interior. Brenda, our waitress, is an absolute gem! She helped us with what dishes to order, my favourites had to be the crab meat rice balls, the galbi jjim with glass noodles and the jeon. My only regret is not ordering the Bingsu!

This Korean restaurant is an amazing hidden gem in The Glen!
You’ll find items on the menu that you wouldn’t typically find in most Korean restaurants in Melbourne such as the stews and rice balls! Would highly recommend this place.

Great Korean stew with slow burn for the spicy levels. Staff are proactive suggesting bowls as we shared a bowl of bingsu. Recommend the stew and the bibimbap

I visited this new Korean restaurant in the Glen Shopping Centres new restaurant precinct.

The restaurants layout is minimalist and it’s spotlessly clean and well designed with different sections where you can sit.

As this was an invitation I don’t generally comment on the service but there needs to be a special mention to Brenda the waitress for her exceptional service and great humour.

The food was excellent. In fact it was amazing. There were a few dishes that we tried including the spicy beef stew which was chunky pieces of beef (some on the bone) and the beef was slow cooked and it almost fell apart. It was perfectly cooked for me.

With the stew you get to pick your own protein, your own flavour such as soy or spicy, mild to Level 4 HoT, then the noodles, and optional add ons.

The pan fried leek mandu was yummy. They are pan fried dumplings filled with leek and minced pork. The dumplings were crispy and the ingredients yummy. Little parcels of goodness lol

Then we tried tuna rice balls which you hand roll yourself using all the fresh ingredients which is quite fun. This is the first time that I’ve seen this.

For dessert we shared the mango and cheese bingsu, which was small snowflakes covered with chunks of mango and cheesecake topped with vanilla ice cream. Wow!! Hahaha this was THE most heavenly dessert.

The snowflakes were shaved frozen milk, sooo delicate and light in texture almost like frozen but much tastier. I really enjoyed the fresh mango pieces and the cheesecake.
The blueberry and cheese bingsu was the almost the except with blueberries and a blueberry sauce.

Overall this was a great experience that we both thoroughly enjoyed. And I’d be happy to go back anytime.

This place was amazing, we ordered the stew I couldn't stop eating it, it was just that good. The service was so friendly and came to your table quickly if you pressed the call button. The bingsu is a must have, the toppings went so well with the shaved ice and they do not cheap you out, they fill it up all the way for you. This is definitely worth it's price, and I will surly be coming back with some more friends and family.

My 16 year son, had his birthday with his fifteen other friends for dinner last night. Every single one of them had the nicest things to say about the food and staff. They absolutely loved the food and the service was outstanding. I the parent, dealt with Brenda the manager for all my requirements and booking. She was the most beautiful manager I have dealt with. When we met, she was a delight and always with a smile. Highly recommend this Korean restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Loved our experience. Keep up the good work Masizzim.

Excellent Korean restaurant, great food and friendly staff. Excellent value for money. The Bibimbap was really good not too spicy and a lot of pork. The fried chicken and the cheese egg roll was really tasty as well.
