A great place to set base and explore the surroundings. Call in advance, and they can provide food and firewood for your stay.

Awesome spot, stayed here while riding the Hunt 1000. Leanne and co are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond. The general store is also very well stocked if you are a hungry adventurer. I've already told my Aussie mates to swing by next time they're in the area. Kia ora!

Amazing location with an even better host. Nothing was a problem for Leanne, 10 of us on adventure bikes recently stayed at Licola and she had BBQ packs and nibbley's ready for us, it was amazing.

Just did a recent trip to the caravan park. The park was in great condition and very clean. I was in a club groub with approx 30 cars and a few campers trailers. We fitted well and didnt feel squashed at all. Got to meet the new owner Leanne and she was so friendly and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend. Thanks Princess sparkles 😊🤣

My friends and I have been coming here for the past 20+ years. We love getting out in the high country and relaxing around a campfire for the weekend. I have to give special mention to the new owners of the general store and caravan park who in the last 6 months or so have not only improved the general surrounds and accommodation but made us feel more welcome than ever before! It's great to see people running a business with such enthusiasm and a love for what they do. We stayed over the weekend at short notice and were treated with great hospitality. Keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll see us again and again and again!

I stopped at the Licola Caravan Park as part of the 2023 Hunt 1000 bike ride, and wow, what a find! Leanne, the owner, was absolutely fantastic – so kind and welcoming, she made my stay amazing. The place itself has everything you need, with great facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. It's the kind of spot that takes your breath away and warms your heart, all thanks to Leanne's incredible hospitality. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

The first photo is literally taken from the side of the caravan park! Adam and I passed through here late in March 2023 on a long journey walking to Sydney. Leanne the owner is a powerhouse of customer service picking us up earlier on the trail as we had a huge walk that day to get there. Her passion and love for Licola shows and is reflected in the caravan park. It’s clean, got everything you need (for us a warm shower saved us) and has a real home-like environment where you feel part of the culture staying there.
We’re so grateful to have passed through and our lives are better because of it. I urge you to try it out - You won’t regret it!

We travelled to the Licola Caravan Park on motorcycles (10riders) and asked Leanne the owner if she could help out with some supplies for a bbq dinner for the group. Not only did Leanne make us feel welcome, she organized bbq meat packs, salads, bread and snacks that were placed in our bunkhouse prior to our arrival. She even put a box of beer in the fridge. This was all at a very reasonable price. The extra effort by Leanne and her well mannered and courteous son, Carlton was very much appreciated by the group. We will definitely return. Thank you Leanne and Carlton.

Leanne is a great host. Catered for our group of motorcycle riders so well with food and accommodation ready on arrival and even went above and beyond with suppling some wood so we could have a camp fire after dinner… thank you 🙏

Hands down, this is our favourite place for our annual family holiday. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and the location is simply fantastic. There are fire pits available for the sites, and the park is pet friendly.

The grounds themselves are very well maintained, with lots of lush, green grass all around you. The amenities block is always clean and the general store has all the basics you'll ever need, including beer from the walk-in fridge.

The current operators, Tracey and Darren, are fantastic hosts and are genuinely great people to have a laugh with, as they walk around making sure everything is ok. And, to top it all off, the site fees are incredibly reasonable.

If you enjoy the High Country, and want to enjoy the additional benefits over free camping, you won't be disappointed with a few nights at Licola Caravan Park.

🏔 🚙 🛑 A MUST STOP FOR TRAVELLERS 🚙 🛑 🏔

Leanne absolutely saved our bacon, we came off the mountain very late not realising how long the track would take us. It was 6pm, we were out of fuel and separated from the rest of our 4x4 group. We pulled into Licola to find a beautiful camp ground on the river with phone service so we were able to contact the rest of our group. Leanne was so welcoming, let us set up and checked we had all we needed for the night and helped our disgruntled group out with a hot shower! In the morning we were able to fuel up and get the necessities from her well stocked store! Carlton sorted us out with the best hot sausage rolls for our treck to Jamison. Because we were separated from our group I missed my partners Birthday, Leanne packed me off with a little cake, a candle and a bow for our belated celebrations!

Next time I will be making sure to add Licola caravan park to the treck, either heading up or coming back down.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

Only shop in town but the owners were very friendly and the prices are reasonable.
They had a pretty good range of food, drinks and various knick knacks.

Stayed here twice with the Meetup group I host. Even when we changed bookings last second and I forgot to return the cabin keys, the owners were extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay again

Came down from the Pinnacles Rd, after losing my exhaust connection. Leanne was able to get me on the right track and referred me onto some great people in Heyfield for a repair. Unfortunately we weren't able to complete our high country trip, so the next one is already planning as we speak, as have some unfinished business with Billy Goats and Woods Point. Cheers Leanne for the leg up, and will pass through to say hi when we are there next!

Hands down amazing spot with great staff and facilities! We popped two tires 4W driving on Billy goats track and licola was the closest town. We managed to get there for an unplanned stay and the staff there were amazing and very accommodating. They didn’t even charge us for the night. Amazing people.
The caravan park is extremely clean (toilets included) and has a great setup with fire pits and a hose at each site.
If you’re passing by then I highly suggest a stay. Ps amazing coffee!

I am drawn to Licola. The ladies running the campgrounds are lovely. It's a beautiful place to rest up, have a fish (many spots around the grounds), and feel the escape from the busy city. The valley has much history and I will be going back for sure. The large camper trailer and tent area has a beautiful sheltered area in the centre to lounge, yammer and stay warm. A personal favourite
